Chateau d'Auzers

Chateau d’Auzers

Owned by the same family since the fifteenth century, you will be welcomed to a home where you can visit its exhibitions. Marvel its regency and Auvergne furniture, its vaulted room, its huge fireplaces and its oratory.  There are XXI century, listed, polychromatic murals as well as numerous portraits plus interesting Empire furniture given by Napoleon  to “Jean Louis Auzers”.

The Chateau, built between 1470 and 1510, is very characteristic of the architecture of Upper Auvergne, and remains intact with all the attributes of the house, tower, battlements and turrets.

There is an exhibition of toy soldiers from 1914 and 1918 and a major exhibition of photographs from 1900 of chateau life and the countryside of Auzers.
