The Castle was created and developed during the thirteenth, fifteenth, sixteenth and eighteenth centuries and is a Classified Historical Monument and Major Site in Aquitaine.
Located 50km from Agen and Cahors, in the municipality of Saint Front sur L’amance in the north-east of the Lot-et-Garonne, in the Lot valley near Fumel (which is owned by the municipality), this awe inspiring castle stands high on a rocky outcrop. It shows castle development through the ages and offers many special events throughout the year for both adults and children.
