The Gardens of Loriot are located between the Atlantic coast and the bocage countryside just 5 km from Venansault.
The gardens, covering 5 hectares, have wilder areas and an enclosed field where the donkeys live, all separated by 100 year old hedges.
These peaceful gardens surrounding a central lake are home to over 2,000 varieties for plants which bloom throughout the seasons. Over 130 species of bamboo, brought back from Asia, Africa and America can be found as you wander round the Grand Panda Trail.
There are nymph pools which are home to over sixty species of water lily, a rose garden and the Saffron Way which winds though a valley containing rare trees and flowers.
An organic kitchen garden was developed new for 2013.
