Begun in 1612 by Marie de Medicis, mother of Louis XIII, the Jardin du Luxembourg covers an area of 23 hectares. Often referred to locally as the “Luco” the garden is set in the Latin Quarter of Paris and contains several listed historic buildings.
Essentially and park, the gardens also contain both French and English style gardens. An apple orchard containing old and heritage varieties is also a feature of this garden in the heart of the city.
This garden does not have its own website but more information can be found by clicking here.
