Parc Floral “Les Jardins de Colette“ is a contemporary creation of nearly 5 hectares, near the Château de Castel Novel, in the municipality of Varetz, Correze. The Chateau is former home of the famous writer Colette who lived there between 1911 and 1923.
The gardens opened to the public for the first time, May 17, 2008. The gardens were created to pay tribute to Colette, a lover of nature and words. It is a poetic stroll through six landscape paintings that depict her life and work.
