Honoring the memory of the thousands of soldiers from all nations who died during this horrific battle.

The Verdun Merorial Museum is one of the major museums of World War 1. Built on the site of the destroyed village of Fleury -devant-Douaumont, it commemorates the thousands of French, German and American soldiers who were killed or wounded during the ten month long battle.

In addition to being a commemoration, the museum seeks to explain and educate visitors about the terrible events that occurred in this corner of France – “Lest We Forget”.
