Famous for its roller coaster rides Parc Asterix is based on the stories of Asterix by Albert Uderzo and Rene Goscinny.
The park is divided into six areas each with its own theme and time period.
One of its most famous roller coasters is the Tonnerre de Zeus – Thunder of Zeus. Opened in 1997 and built by Custom Coasters International, it is the 2nd longest wooden coaster in Europe after Colossos, with a track length of 1230m.
Other rides include Oxyenarium – a spinning water ride using large inflatable dinghies, la Trace du Horra – a 900m bob sled coaster that can reach speeds of 80km/h.
