Established by the Marquis de Folin at the end of the 19th century, the Sea Museum of Biarritz opened its doors to the public on the 10th August 1933. The following 80 years have been marked by contined improvements and expansion. The total area of the museum is now 7000 m2 with one aquarium of over 1500m2 containing sharks and rays.
Visitors can journey through various oceanic regions from the Bay Of Biscay to the distant Pacific.
