The Great Dune of Pilat is located in the Teste de Buch district in the Arcachon Bay area of the Gironde department of France. It is approximately 60 km from Bordeaux and is one of the most visited natural attractions in the area.
It is the tallest sand dune in Europe with an approximate height above sea level of 110 metres, offers spectacular views of the Atlantic coast.
