[post_content] => Le Mas is a characterful farmhouse and a perfect home from home, full of original beams, fireplaces and thick stone walls. It is currently being renovated and will be available from Easter 2016. The photos show the house pre-renovation.
Kitchen and living-room
The large well-equipped kitchen (60m²) is the centre of the house, great for family meals where 12 people can sit comfortably around the table. The exposed stone walls show the history of the house, with a centuries-old larder and a stone evier (basin).
The terracotta floor tiles lead to the living room (48m²), which like the kitchen has exposed beams, an enormous fireplace with a wood burner (wood provided) and doors leading outside. There are comfortable sofas and chairs, and plenty of games and books to enjoy.
If you want to catch up on the news or watch a film there is a flat screen satellite TV with English channels.
5 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms
Two bedrooms are on the ground floor at opposite ends of the house, each with two single beds en suite bathrooms with showers. One of these bedrooms is wheelchair accessible. The other three bedrooms are accessed via two staircases. The first staircase leads to a double-aspect bedroom and en suite bathroom with shower. The main staircase goes from the kitchen up to the two large gabled master bedrooms (56m² and 50m²).
The master bedrooms have wooden floors, beautiful original beams and are light and bright. Windows have views to the fields and woods beyond, being the perfect lookout for deer, kestrels and wild boars. Both master bedrooms have large en suite bathrooms with showers and baths.
Outside
Opposite the kitchen is the covered summer kitchen (80m²). Originally a barn, it still retains the roof but is partly open on three sides, affording you shade and a cool breeze. There is a small kitchen area with sink, fridge and a Weber 3 burner gas barbeque (gas provided). A large dining table, 12 chairs and comfortable seating make it the perfect setting for long lunches, escaping the sun or spending time together late into the night.
There are games to play in the garden, and the pool to enjoy. The 9 x 4 meter pool has a deep and a shallow end, with steps down into the water for easy access (no awkward ladder). It's positioned to take in the view over the fields and woods beyond, so lie back on the sun-loungers and enjoy it! If you are seeking solitude there are several private spots in the garden. The pool is not heated, and for that reason is closed from November to April.

[post_content] => L'Ecurie is equipped with freeview satellite tv and in addition, for those who want to keep in touch with their email etc, each gite is part of a private wi-fi network accessible by WEP key. The access key will be provided individually as required.
The living area is open plan with beamed ceiling and wood burning stove which includes; Lounge/Dining area of sofa, chairs and fully equipped with CD, TV and DVD** facilities and dining table. Kitchen fully equipped with fridge, hob and oven, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher.
The three bedrooms are on the first floor with exposed beams in all: 1 double room and 2 twin rooms.
Family bath/shower room with sink and WC
Outside you can enjoy a 12m x 6m pool with Roman steps into the shallow end and an adjacent children's pool. There is a large sunbathing terrace and the pool is open and heated from mid-May until the end of September. It is securely fenced. The extensive grounds are a delight for all ages and cover around 22 acres including a large children's play area, indoor play barn, games field, open parkland and is bounded by trees and fields.

[post_content] => "Verdhello" is accessed from the main lawn and has a self contained downstairs area adapted to be suitable for wheelchair users. The gated private garden/bbq area has a good view of the childrens' play area and the open plan kitchen/living area is well equipped.
Leading off the back of the living area is the master bedroom with en-suite wc, spa-bath and separate shower with seat. Once a store for barrels of cognac, the aroma has sadly now gone, but the residue from the "angels share" (the part of the cognac that evaporated from the barrels) may still be seen high up on the stone walls.
The massive oak doors between the lounge and master bedroom were designed to prevent the raiding English from defiling the sacred stores of cognac during the Napoleonic wars.
Upstairs there is a twin room, a single room and a small shower room with WC and basin. Please note that the stairs are quite steep (2 stairgates are provided). There is a low beam upstairs (about 1.6m) near the shower room and single bedroom.
A parking space is provided in the covered area between the main lawn and the pool.

A feature open tread staircase leads to the first floor where there is a superb master bedroom with French windows with extensive views over the lake.

Opposite the kitchen is the covered summer kitchen (80m²). Originally a barn, it still retains the roof but is partly open on three sides, affording you shade and a cool breeze. There is a small kitchen area with sink, fridge and a Weber 3 burner gas barbeque (gas provided). A large dining table, 12 chairs and comfortable seating make it the perfect setting for long lunches, escaping the sun or spending time together late into the night.
There are games to play in the garden, and the pool to enjoy. The 9 x 4 meter pool has a deep and a shallow end, with steps down into the water for easy access (no awkward ladder). It's positioned to take in the view over the fields and woods beyond, so lie back on the sun-loungers and enjoy it! If you are seeking solitude there are several private spots in the garden. The pool is not heated, and for that reason is closed from November to April.
