[post_content] => This is the smallest of the gites at La Lohuas, with a downstairs bathroom and two adjoining upstairs rooms, the stairs arrive in the double room and there is a twin room leading off. Both rooms have ample place for a cot. The ceilings upstairs are sloping with exposed beams and may be difficult for very tall people. The kitchen and living/dining area are adjoined making it a cosy, sociable space downstairs - several little windows at the back of the cottage look out across the play area and animal enclosure.

Outside
Set in rural farmland of over four acres, La Lohuas has a several discreet outside areas within it's boundaries. Each with it's own attraction and character.
The most popular with children is the fenced and secure play area, which has been designed to ensure that children can “let their hair down†without disturbing the other guests. Here we have a huge open-fronted barn with children's toys, sandpit and a table tennis table. An ideal distraction if ever it rains, but with the added bonus of being shaded from the sun on the hottest of days. Next to the barn is a large lawned area with a 14 foot trampoline, swings, slide, see-saw and football and badminton nets.
There are gardens with a croquet lawn, a hammock suspended under the walnut trees and a little walk behind the chicken pen takes you down to our woodland fairy grotto, where you can listen to the birds singing and the babbling brook. There is a little stream at the bottom with a bridge, where you can play “pooh-sticksâ€.

The house has great character with open fires and a wealth of exposed beams, however gas central heating has been installed to ensure you remain cosy during the winter months. The large, private enclosed garden with expansive lawn and apple trees is ideal for children; swings, slide, paddling pool and bicycles (for both adults and children) are available.

[post_content] => Situated across the gravelled courtyard from our other property, Lustruyen Cottage, is the farmhouse that sleeps 10 + cot. The door opens into an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with large farmhouse table and chairs, comfortable sofas and armchairs, books, flat screened TV with freeview channels, video and DVD player & Free wireless broadband access WiFi.
The kitchen area is very well equipped with plenty of quality glasses, crockery, cutlery, non stick pans as well as a kettle, toaster, coffee maker, hand blender etc. There is a gas hob/oven, fridge, microwave oven and dishwasher.
On the ground floor there is also a family bedroom with a double and single bed and en-suite shower/toilet.
Upstairs is fully carpeted with a double bedroom, a family room with a double and single bed, a twin bedroom and bathroom. To the front of the farmhouse hidden from view is a small secluded private garden with a rotary washing line.
Outside - Here on site you can enjoy swimming in our 10x5 metre (32' X 16') heated, fenced, swimming pool with shallow end and roman steps. You will find the pool is sheltered and well positioned to remain in full sun all day with tables, chairs, parasols and sun loungers to relax on. The pool is normally open from the end of May to the end of September.
Also in the grounds are a boules court, table tennis, trampoline with safety net, swingball, children's swing and slide, basketball net, badminton and children's playhouse. We also have a grassed area that we keep cut for ball games (football, cricket and rounders) so that children can play safely within sight but without disturbing the adults.
There is plenty of room with in the grounds to park cars safely. The farmhouse and cottage are detached from each other across a gravelled courtyard. There is a communal room that the two properties have a key to housing the washing machine, freezer, ironing boards, clothes airers, irons, hoovers, video library and space for storage of bikes, roof racks etc.

[post_content] => The 18th century granite farmhouse and adjacent cottage are let as one unit and are suitable for larger family groups of 10 to 14 + cots. They are set away from the other two cottages down a private drive in their own pretty formal gardens with lawns, shrubs and plenty of mature trees for shade. The house has been renovated to offer comfortable accommodation but retaining its olde worlde character.
The arched granite doorway opens in to a large airy lounge with dual aspect windows comfortable chairs and sofas, flat screened TV with freeview channels, video and DVD player. There are a large selection of books, videos, board games, DVDs and Free wireless broadband access WiFi.
Leading from the lounge is the fitted kitchen which has an electric oven and hob, gas hob, large fridge/ freezer, microwave oven, dishwasher, kettles, toaster, coffee machine, hand blender etc. There are loads of decent crockery and cutlery and plenty of serving dishes etc. for large groups to be catered for properly. There is also a huge collection of cookery books to help you plan your holiday meals.
From the kitchen is the beamed dining room with two large antique dining tables and chairs. Leading on from this is a utility room with an additional fridge/freezer, shower and toilet, washing machine, hoover, iron and ironing board.
Upstairs there is a family bedroom (double and single bed) with ensuite shower and toilet. Two double bedrooms a twin bedroom and a family bathroom.
The small “Hansel & Gretel†cottage next door has one large bedroom with a double bed and two singles. Downstairs is the bathroom and kitchen/lounge with sofa and armchairs and table with benches. The kitchen includes a fridge, gas hob and microwave oven.
Outside - The farmhouse and cottage enjoy their own private large lawned area and gardens with BBQ, garden tables, chairs and parasols. Access to the swimming pool is shared with our other two gites Maison Madeleine & Marie.

Upstairs there is a master bedroom with Pine king size bed, wardrobe, dressing table and chest of drawers. Bedroom 2 has two single pine beds and both share a fully tiles moern bathroom with bath and overhead body massage shower. The garden is laid to lawn and by the cottage is a patio are with BBQ, wooden table and chairs going onto the pool area. The swimming pool is alarmed and complies with French regulations.

All three bedrooms have twin zip and link beds so can be set up as either twins or king size doubles.

The kitchen area is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, washing machine,electric cooker, microwave, kettle, cafetiere, and toaster; assorted pans, knives, and utensils; plenty of glasses, cutlery, crockery and mugs. On our travels over the years, we have stayed in many cottages, and quite often get frustrated to find things 'missing'. We hope you will find that we have thought of everything... If in doubt, ask to see the full list, and no, we haven't forgotten a tea-pot! There will be an initial supply of tea, coffee, sugar, essential seasonings and oil to start you off.
The dining area has a large table and chairs for 6 people.
The separate lounge has two comfy sofas, satellite TV, and DVD player, and book shelves with books and DVDs.
Large ground floor family bathroom, with bath and shower over, handbasin and w.c.
Corridor to boiler room, and door to private rear garden, with rotary line, patio furniture, BBQ, and access to further gardens and field.
On the 1st floor there are 2 double bedrooms, and one twin bedded room, and a games room containing a multi-games table, and board games.
For our younger guests.....there are lots of lovely books and DVDs just for you!
A welcome pack containing a selection of local goodies such as cheese, wine, and seasonal fruits will be waiting for you on arrival.
We provide all bed linen, towels and tea towels, but not beach/swimming towels. A high chair, cot (with bedding), and bed guards are available; please let us know when booking if you should require them.
A small supplement will be made for heating during the colder months.

[post_content] => This is the smallest of the gites at La Lohuas, with a downstairs bathroom and two adjoining upstairs rooms, the stairs arrive in the double room and there is a twin room leading off. Both rooms have ample place for a cot. The ceilings upstairs are sloping with exposed beams and may be difficult for very tall people. The kitchen and living/dining area are adjoined making it a cosy, sociable space downstairs - several little windows at the back of the cottage look out across the play area and animal enclosure.

Kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, coffee filter machine, gas hob, electric oven, cooker hood, children's cutlery, plates and cups. Coolbox and freezer packs supplied.

Outside
Set in rural farmland of over four acres, La Lohuas has a several discreet outside areas within it's boundaries. Each with it's own attraction and character.
The most popular with children is the fenced and secure play area, which has been designed to ensure that children can “let their hair down†without disturbing the other guests. Here we have a huge open-fronted barn with children's toys, sandpit and a table tennis table. An ideal distraction if ever it rains, but with the added bonus of being shaded from the sun on the hottest of days. Next to the barn is a large lawned area with a 14 foot trampoline, swings, slide, see-saw and football and badminton nets.
There are gardens with a croquet lawn, a hammock suspended under the walnut trees and a little walk behind the chicken pen takes you down to our woodland fairy grotto, where you can listen to the birds singing and the babbling brook. There is a little stream at the bottom with a bridge, where you can play “pooh-sticksâ€.
