Charles cottage sleeps 5 Near Plouguenast, and not far from Loudeac and Moncontour, this lovely group of cottages enjoys tranquil surroundings and benefits from a 7 x 4 m heated indoor pool (varies from 1.25 - 1.75 m deep) and large and well equipped games room (with table tennis/ping-pong, pool, darts and table football) and gym above the swimming pool room, along with children's play are and under-cover parking. Each cottage has its own private patio/sitting area outside for Barbequing. All kitchens have microwaves, kettles, toasters and full cooking facilities. All lounges have TV and video and there is a communal video library with a variety of tapes, numbering about 400! Communal washing machine in laundry room.
Charles Cottage has a large open plan dining and living area with a modern fitted kitchen area and good range of appliances. There is also a wood burning stove and exposed beams. There are double Doors leading to a furnished patio area and BBQ.

We have virtually all of the equipment parents need when taking their infants on holiday which means you don't need bring items from home; besides cots, high chairs and stair barriers we also have a baby changing table, baby bath, bottle sterilising unit, swing chair and baby chair and a listening device etc.; where needed all kitchen cupboards and upstairs windows have locks which are reversible and only need be engaged when infants are in the property. We have also fitted barriers to the patios.

The fabulous lounge dining room has a huge fireplace with wood burning stove, exposed beams and ancient stone walls. The open plan corner kitchen is fully fitted and equipped including dishwasher, oven, hob, fridge and microwave. Upstairs there are two twin and one double bedrooms and the shower room has a multi-jet shower and toilet, also downstairs is a further shower room with washer/drier. This beautifully renovated stone manor house is set in a rural landscape but within easy distance of the town of Plouguenast, mid Brittany. It sleeps eight very comfortably in three double bedrooms, one twin bedroom and a separate well equipped nursery. The kitchen is fully equipped including microwave. washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. The cottage is set amidst beautiful countryside approximately 2 miles from the local village of Guern, 10 miles from the historic town of Pontivy and a 45 minute drive from Vannes and 30 minutes to the renown southern coast of Brittany.
Theself catering holiday accommodation comprises one double and two twin rooms, a separate WC and bathroom with shower on the first floor.
On the ground floor there is a large fitted farmhouse kitchen, a very comfortable lounge with log-burning stove and cloakroom.There is also central heating for comfortable off-season lets. A cot and highchair are available.
The location is ideal for outdoor pursuits. It is close to 250 acre forest with an abundance of wildlife and many species of bird life, including the magnificent kingfisher.
The property still has many of the original granite buildings, some of which have been utilized for the benefit of the visitors, but still retaining the charm of the country property.
Surrounding the cottage there is approximately 8 acres of meadowland and more formal lawns through which the River Sarre meanders with good trout and pike fishing.The mill leat feeds a large pond in front of the house and whilst swimming and paddling can take place it is advisable to always ensure young children are supervised. A canoe is provided for further enjoyment of the water at visitors own risk.
There is ample space for outdoor games too. A barbecue and garden furniture are provided and there is badminton and petangue. The latter are shared facilities with THE COTTAGE next door which is also available for renting together with MAISON BLANCHE for large groups.
A 2m plunge pool is also provided to add to your enjoyment of the garden.
Fishing is permitted from the garden or surrounding meadow and licences are easily obtained.
