Whether sipping wine on the terrasse watching your children playing in the water is your way of relaxing or venturing to one of the region's many chateaux and parks, you will find yourself fully immersed in a pretty, friendly village and will enjoy all the the house can offer. There is plenty of space for larger groups however our beautiful master bedroom with jacuzzi in the en suite would also suit a couple looking for a romantic break. For those with older children needing exam revision, French tuition can be organised upon request. One bedroom is downstairs, suiting families wishing to travel with elderly grandparents.

Ground Floor - The large, spacious ground floor accommodates a fully-equipped stained pine kitchen with a gas hob, an electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and large fridge/freezer, kettle, coffee maker etc…
There is a large dining table with seating for 10, and a sitting area with sofas, television, DVD player and free WiFi access, coffee table and a woodburning stove for the winter months.
A charming ground floor bedroom - created from the old poulailler (chicken house) - with a double bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe, leads off the living room and is ideal for grannies or older teenagers!
First Floor - On the first floor there is a double bedroom with plenty of clothes storage and small double windows overlooking the courtyard and the cherry trees after which this house is named.
The twin bedroom has a delightful small window to the courtyard, chest of drawers and a wardrobe.
The third upstairs room - a children's dormitory room with three single beds, and chests of drawers, is well lit with a velux window.
Le Cerisier is a charming house retaining many character features from its previous incarnation such as exposed stonework and old beams. Both pretty and practical house it is a great for a comfortable family holiday home.
Bed linen is included and all beds are made up on arrival.
Towels are not included.
Travel cots, high chairs and changing-mats are available free of charge - please request these on your Booking Form.
Baby sitting by native English speakers is available on request.
A prepared meal is available on your arrival at a cost of 5€ per head. This is a very popular option for families arriving after a long day.

Owners, Helen and Gary, who live next door, have many years' experience in the hospitality trade and believe that your visit should be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. To this end, you can tailor your stay to suit your own requirements. You can choose full or part board or self catering. If you choose self catering, we are still happy to cook for you, just give us a little notice. We can also provide Continental or full English breakfast, cream teas and packed lunches. Bicycles are also available for hire.
Activities in the area include, cycling, walking, swimming and fishing and there are leisure parks, natural lake beaches and a vélorail close by. Gorron and Ambrières les Vallées have some useful shops, supermarkets and restaurants. In Gorron, there is a cinema which shows an English film once a month and there is a weekly market on Wednesdays. We are located only 20 minutes from the attractive regional town of Mayenne on the river Mayenne, where you can walk around the ancient chateau, its gardens and museum.
We are also less than 1.5 hours from Rennes, with Caen, St Malo and Mont St Michel being only around 2 hours away, so nice and close to the ferries and giving you plenty of choice for excursions. We have many chateaux in our area and are also close to the borders of Lower Normandy and Orne with many pretty towns and places to visit.

Maison Botineau is in the hamlet of La Saivrie, a small community of 25 houses .The cottage was originally built to accommodate a farm worker's family but had been used as a farm building for storing hay until we renovated it.
An independant, renovated cottage on the central courtyard at La Boulinerie. This house has its own terrace with barbecue and garden furniture overlooking the gardens and children's play area.
La Grange is situated in the hamlet of Les Rivieres. The old stone built Vendeenne barn has been transformed into a splendid country house sleeping 10 people plus babies.
Maison Brio is next to Maison Botineau in the hamlet of La Saivrie. The inhabitants are almost all native to the area and are always happy to let you try out your French. The hamlet is surrounded by wooded footpaths and cycle tracks.
Maison Verdon is also in the hamlet of La Saivrie, next to Maison Brio. This house was lived in by two families. It has recently been renovated and transformed into a spacious house. This house is often rented by two or three families wanting a holiday together.
