[post_content] => La Maison Fleurie is a 2 bedroom self-catering gîte close to Mayenne in the Pays-de-la-Loire, which can accommodate up to 4 adults and 2 children.
Owners, Helen and Gary, who live next door, have many years' experience in the hospitality trade and believe that your visit should be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. To this end, you can tailor your stay to suit your own requirements. You can choose full or part board or self catering. If you choose self catering, we are still happy to cook for you, just give us a little notice. We can also provide Continental or full English breakfast, cream teas and packed lunches. Bicycles are also available for hire.
Activities in the area include, cycling, walking, swimming and fishing and there are leisure parks, natural lake beaches and a vélorail close by. Gorron and Ambrières les Vallées have some useful shops, supermarkets and restaurants. In Gorron, there is a cinema which shows an English film once a month and there is a weekly market on Wednesdays. We are located only 20 minutes from the attractive regional town of Mayenne on the river Mayenne, where you can walk around the ancient chateau, its gardens and museum.
We are also less than 1.5 hours from Rennes, with Caen, St Malo and Mont St Michel being only around 2 hours away, so nice and close to the ferries and giving you plenty of choice for excursions. We have many chateaux in our area and are also close to the borders of Lower Normandy and Orne with many pretty towns and places to visit.

In the spacious open plan living area downstairs, the large kitchen area is fully equipped with everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible, including an electric cooker and microwave oven. The lounge area features a large log burner as a focal point, with a flat screen satellite TV, DVD player and free Wifi.
Upstairs the property has three bedrooms, two with ensuites, as well as a family bathroom. The two main bedrooms have beautiful antique French beds.
Outside, a large secluded decked area with barbecue provides the ideal spot for relaxing and dining.
La Cachette is ideal for families or couples and it's also an great base for touring the many places of interest around Brittany, Normandy and Pays De La Loire.

The large, old, stone fireplace in the sitting room area was originally the bread oven for the property and now houses a traditional wood-burning stove. With comfortable seating, there is also a television, DVD player and free WiFi access.
The two bedrooms are comfortably furnished for a family holiday home with plenty of clothes storage in each.
The large bathroom is very practical for both the older generation and young families having a smaller French style bath with a shower attachment, together with all the usual facilities.
The house enjoys a secluded position in the orchard whilst having ready access to the pool area, playground and grounds.
Bed linen is included and all beds are made up on arrival.

Triple doors to outside seating area and two double windows to the front making it a lovely bright room with views over fields.
