There is one double bedroom, one twin bedded room, and a family suite comprising a double bedroom, an adjoining room with bunk beds, and a shower/bath which is suitable for small children. There are additional folding/sofa beds for up to 5 additional guests. The ground floor has a kitchen and spacious lounge/dining room. Guests are welcome to use the gardens, garden furniture, terrace and plunge pool (4.75m diameter, 1.2m deep). L'Oustal du Viaur is a recently renovated farm complex on the edge of a small rural hamlet perched high up above the Viaur Gorge on the Tarn/Aveyron border. Bleuet is our third and final gite on the complex. It offers excellent accommodation for a large family or extended family sharing and works very well for 2 smaller families wanting to share. It is part of a gite complex with a shared pool, but stands separately from the other buildings giving ample space and privacy. The building has two floors. The ground floor has a large children's bedroom , a modern, top of the range shower room, an open plan fully fitted kitchen and large family room. Upstairs there is a choice of 2 double bedrooms and a single room and a luxury family bathroom. The property has it's own large patio area which overlooks the pool and has spectacular un-interrupted views over the Viaur Gorge. The ideal spot for BBQ's or sitting watching the sun set with a glass of wine.

[post_content] => Set in outstanding scenery overlooking the Viaur Gorge this beautifully restored former farmhouse offers traditional architecture whilst providing all the modern comforts of home. The property is one of three gites located on a farm complex which is in a small hamlet. The hamlet is located on the border of the Aveyron and Tarn departments offering easy access to all that these fabulously unspoilt departments have to offer.
The house is entered via a private patio area which has a table and seating for 6. A BBQ is provided and a sun canopy with outside lighting ensuring the perfect ambience for al fresco dining. A staircase leads to a balcony perfect for a quiet read. Through the front door you enter the large kitchen diner. The kitchen is fitted to a very high standard with a large fridge/ freezer, dishwasher, microwave, gas oven with extractor. It is fully stocked to enable full cooking facilities including over work-top lighting. Open stonework and beams combine with the oak dining table and chairs to provide a wonderful setting. Through the kitchen is a shower room and downstairs bedroom. On the second floor is a large sitting-room with Satellite TV, DVD + video, leading through to a second bedroom. Off a small landing a third story provides a romantic master bedroom and large bathroom up in the eves. In the grounds you will find the 12mx6m swimming pool. It has a large 1m deep area entered by semi circular steps providing a large safe area for less confident swimmers. This slopes away to a final depth of 2m allowing for those who like to dive. Lots of room to play but great for serious swimmers too. There is ample pool furniture available so you can enjoy relaxing and taking in the breath-taking views across the Viaur Gorge.
Washing machine and ironing facilities are located in shared laundry for the site.

A cot and highchair are available on request.
Bright and airy bathroom, with toilet, bidet and sink, fully tiled shower unit and towel radiator, a hair dryer is also supplied.
Downstairs - Kitchen/Dining room - Sunny kitchen with Mediterranean feel, equipped with microwave, multifunction oven, induction hob, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and washing machine, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, dining table and chairs. Light and spacious room with a window facing east towards your private garden, one set of patio doors facing west towards our garden/courtyard with lovely views, and another set of patio doors leading onto a big covered patio, private and south facing with panoramic views of the Pyrenees. Table and chairs provided for outdoors dining, as well as sun loungers and BBQ.
Lounge - Airy yet cosy room with comfy sofa and chair and wood burning stove, TV/entertainment system, there also is free Wifi internet connection. Original wooden staircase leading upstairs. Window facing west towards the courtyard and back door facing east, leading out to the private garden.
Apart from your own private patio and garden, you're welcome to use the various seating areas in our garden, which faces south with spectacular views of the Pyrenees. Take a seat under the walnut tree and enjoy the view of the Pic du Midi in the distance, while away the hours on the sun terrace by the pool or lay in the hammock with a book, in the shade that our big Cadalpa trees provide on hot days.

The luxury gite has been imaginatively transformed from the original outbuildings into a private hideaway that's perfect for couples. Beautifully furnished, the gite offers a well-equipped kitchen, a large, contemporary lounge featuring a wood-burning stove, and, just off the lounge, a sumptuous double bedroom with original “bulls eye†windows set high in the wall. (The gite also has a bed settee and a cot is available for those with young children).
Adjoining the bedroom is a beautiful Italian tiled bathroom. Outside is a private terrace and sitting area for taking meals alfresco and gite guests also have full use of the heated swimming pool. With full central heating throughout, the gite is ideal for holidays all year round, including Christmas and New Year.
La Maison d'Iris sits within an acre of well-planted, landscaped gardens. The gardens, extensively planted with flower and shrub borders, provide colour throughout the year, offering both sun worshippers, and those seeking some leafy shade, all they need for a perfect holiday. Nestling in the heart of the grounds is a stunning 10m x 5m heated swimming pool (open from May to October). We hope you enjoy our house and gardens as much as we do.
We understand how much more there is to a holiday than just booking it and turning up. We are dedicated to providing you with a range of services to make sure nothing stands between you and a wonderfully relaxing holiday. Here are some of the additional services on offer. We are happy to organise grocery shopping for your arrival, booking tours/ restaurants/ horse riding/ golf, lunchtime picnics, as well as providing additional housekeeping services, if they are required.
For guests renting the gite, we can provide French continental breakfast and/or a 4-course table d'hôte meal, cooked with fresh local produce and including local wines.

[post_content] => There is an enormous 130m2 open plan kitchen/sitting/dining room. Exposed beams and an open fireplace give real character to the room, with a combination of antique and contemporary furnishings.
There is large sitting/TV room (41m2) with several comfortable sofas and armchairs, exposed beams and flatscreen TV. There are 3 spacious double bedrooms, decorated in light tones, with own ensuite bathrooms and 2 other bedrooms sharing a bathroom.
Flooring throughout the property is a lovely creamy travertine.
Views from all windows give out to the grounds with beautiful views.
Outside the grounds surround the property and are mainly laid to lawn with a good selection of shrubs and trees. A large summer kitchen with terracotta floor, covered dining area (with sink, fridge and barbecue) overlooks the large 12m x 5m swimming pool which has a generous sunbathing terrace. For a supplement the pool may be heated.
