Flooring throughout the property is a lovely creamy travertine.
Views from all windows give out to the grounds with beautiful views.
Outside the grounds surround the property and are mainly laid to lawn with a good selection of shrubs and trees. A large summer kitchen with terracotta floor, covered dining area (with sink, fridge and barbecue) overlooks the large 12m x 5m swimming pool which has a generous sunbathing terrace. For a supplement the pool may be heated.

[post_content] => This charming property is made up of a group of three building set in a small rural hamlet about 7 km south of Villefranche de Rouergue, Aveyron, France.
Aveyron is in the Midi Pyrenees region, about equal distance from the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean. The owners who bought the property in 2001 are two artists, a Belgian sculptor and an Irish painter. They enjoy living here in this tranquil rural setting.
This quiet hamlet is in an agricultural area and includes about nine households.
The Gite itself is totally renovated and was completed in 2008. It consists of a bright living & kitchen area, a cosy bedroom, tiled shower room with w.c. and wash hand basin.
The decor is in warm red tones.
Outside in the sunny seating area which faces south, you will find a parasol, a BBQ, along with table & chairs for eating outdoors.
The enclosed back garden looks onto green fields and the Aveyron valley.
The secluded swimming pool is unheated but is in full sun all day and the water temperature
is usually between 25 & 27c in July and August. There are sun loungers on the wide terrace around the pool which is surrounded by pretty flowers and shrubs.
The pool is shared with the owners and as there is only one Gite, most of the time you will have it all to yourself.

Create your own masterpiece with a selection of pottery to paint in our Atelier. Finished items need to be glazed and fired which takes up to 3 days.
KIDS
We aim to make your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. We provide essential items such as baby monitors, high chairs, stair gates etc. On arrival, your kids will receive their own welcome pack including pens, a scrap book, glue and a soft toy bunny in their own Le Caillau backpack. Our swimming pool is heated to make swimming more enjoyable for little ones. Nestled amongst our cherry trees find a trampoline, swing set & sand pit, not to mention lots of space for running around. We also have a children's menu in the restaurant and fresh baby foods can be prepared on request.

[post_content] => La Maison is a beautifully furnished 5 bedroom house (originally the main farmhouse). You enter the house directly into the enormous and very modern kitchen which has a table seating 12 - ideal for those long, lazy lunches using the delicious local produce from the markets. The original stone walls ensure that the rooms are cool in summer, but if you are visiting us at other times of year, there are cosy woodburners for the kitchen and the living room. In the living room you have a TV and DVD player (we have an extensive selection of DVDs available to borrow from our games room). For the more musical among you there is also a piano - ideal for a good old-fashioned family sing-song or for making sure that children don't fall behind with practicing their scales. If you haven't brought enough books to last you, there are plenty provided in the house.
Layout:
There is one double en-suite on the ground floor.
Upstairs, there is a twin room and a very large double room which share a bathroom. In addition, there is our family suite. This is a very large space and has a double bed and a single bed on the first floor and then stairs up to a further double in the pigeonnier. These rooms share a bathroom. Ideal if you have young children. We can also provide a cot if you require one. The rooms on the first floor all have lovely views over the valley. Outside, you have your own private terrace - perfect for watching the sunset and if you are lucky you may see deer in the fields below or even our resident Owl family!
Outside, there is a 10mx5m pool to cool down on hot afternoons. This is shared with the small cottage next door and with our Safari-tent visitors. We also have a brand new games room for all our guests - pool table, table tennis, table football, darts, cards, board games - another popular space to cool off in the summer!

Two double doors in the lounge lead out on to a private terrace where you can sit on a warm summer evening and barbecue until to your heart's content.
We have also provided the gite with a cool box , picnic plates, glasses and cutlery for those warm summer days.
We have furnished and decorated this gite tastefully and to a high standard with the intention of giving it a homely feel with your comfort in mind. Diversions include satellite TV, DVD player, radio and CD player and books to read while you are having a rest and letting others cook for you.
Sun loungers are provided and if all that relaxing in the sun is getting a bit much you could always eat your lunch on the picnic bench under your willow tree

L'Oustal du Viaur is a recently renovated farm complex on the edge of a small rural hamlet perched high up above the Viaur Gorge on the Tarn/Aveyron border. Bleuet is our third and final gite on the complex. It offers excellent accommodation for a large family or extended family sharing and works very well for 2 smaller families wanting to share. It is part of a gite complex with a shared pool, but stands separately from the other buildings giving ample space and privacy. The building has two floors. The ground floor has a large children's bedroom , a modern, top of the range shower room, an open plan fully fitted kitchen and large family room. Upstairs there is a choice of 2 double bedrooms and a single room and a luxury family bathroom. The property has it's own large patio area which overlooks the pool and has spectacular un-interrupted views over the Viaur Gorge.
