Gite Ménezil is a 2 bedroom gîte with one king sized double room and one bunk room (more suitable for children). Plenty of storage space is available. All bed and household linen is provided.
The large open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen area is light and airy with a patio door opening out onto the sun terrace and outdoor dining area. The lounge is equipped to a high standard incorporating comfortable wicker furniture. A TV (French satellite), DVD player and CD/Radio system are provided. WiFi is provided free of charge.
In the modern fully fitted kitchen / dining area there is a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven, cooker with mixed gas/electric hob and electric oven - together with plenty of storage space, preparation surface and a stainless steel sink area. The shower room consists of a shower unit, wash basin with mirror, storage units and heated towel rail. The WC is in a separate room. All towels are provided.
In the cellar utility area a washing machine, iron, ironing board and hoover are available. The dedicated garden area for this gîte is at least 200m² with a shared BBQ area.

[post_content] => Situated within the Parc Naturel Régional des Causses du Quercy, Genévrier is a traditional Quercy cottage occupying a secluded, south-facing hillside position above the small village of St. Martin Labouval in the Vallée du Lot. Set in eight acres of its own land amid oak trees, juniper bushes and box together with wild orchids and honeysuckle, Genévrier has all the ingredients for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The Vallée du Lot is further south than some people realise, spring comes early, summers are usually hot and dry and autumns are delightfully warm. It is a land of warmth and sunshine and spectacular beauty, scented with juniper and thyme and alive with butterflies, the perfect place to relax and unwind. Providing exclusivity and independence the cottage, which has recently been lovingly restored, offers simple but very comfortable accommodation for five guests and has been furnished as our home as opposed to a 'holiday house'.
Bedrooms
Two delightful pretty double aspect bedrooms (1 double and the other twin beds) with polished wood floors, sloping ceilings and original oak beams. An attractive mezzanine area at the top of the oak staircase provides a further single bed if required.
Kitchen / Dining
The kitchen/dining area with its terracotta floor is well equipped and includes fridge/freezer, electric oven, gas hob, a microwave/combination oven and plenty of cupboards. The large old French pine dining table will comfortably seat 8 people.
Living Room
The open-plan sitting room has a sofa and easy chairs providing comfortable seating in front of the Jotul woodburning stove - extremely cosy on those out-of-season evenings! It also has a well stocked book case and a quality system to play your music.
Utility Room
Approached off the cuisine d'ete, the utility room houses the washing machine/dryer, double sink and a large fridge/freezer. It has large oak worktops and offers plenty of cool storage.

The property is one of three gites located on a farm complex which is in a small hamlet. The hamlet is located on the border of the Aveyron and Tarn departments offering easy access to all that these fabulously unspoilt departments have to offer.
The house is entered via a private patio area which has a table and seating for 6. A BBQ is provided and a sun canopy with outside lighting ensuring the perfect ambience for al fresco dining. A staircase leads to a balcony perfect for a quiet read. Through the front door you enter the large kitchen diner. The kitchen is fitted to a very high standard with a large fridge/ freezer, dishwasher, microwave, gas oven with extractor. It is fully stocked to enable full cooking facilities including over work-top lighting. Open stonework and beams combine with the oak dining table and chairs to provide a wonderful setting. Through the kitchen is a shower room and downstairs bedroom. On the second floor is a large sitting-room with Satellite TV, DVD + video, leading through to a second bedroom. Off a small landing a third story provides a romantic master bedroom and large bathroom up in the eves. In the grounds you will find the 12mx6m swimming pool. It has a large 1m deep area entered by semi circular steps providing a large safe area for less confident swimmers. This slopes away to a final depth of 2m allowing for those who like to dive. Lots of room to play but great for serious swimmers too. There is ample pool furniture available so you can enjoy relaxing and taking in the breath-taking views across the Viaur Gorge.
Washing machine and ironing facilities are located in shared laundry for the site.

There is an array of outdoor pursuits just here, you can hire kayaks and kayak through the stunning peaceful valley, or partake in adventure activities at the local activity centre where you can arrange rock-climbing, caving, canyoning, 'accro-branch' (adventure course in the cliffs and trees) and mountain-biking. There is also a horse-riding centre in the village where you can take a series of beautiful treks. [post_content] => This charming property is made up of a group of three building set in a small rural hamlet about 7 km south of Villefranche de Rouergue, Aveyron, France.
Aveyron is in the Midi Pyrenees region, about equal distance from the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean. The owners who bought the property in 2001 are two artists, a Belgian sculptor and an Irish painter. They enjoy living here in this tranquil rural setting.
This quiet hamlet is in an agricultural area and includes about nine households.
The Gite itself is totally renovated and was completed in 2008. It consists of a bright living & kitchen area, a cosy bedroom, tiled shower room with w.c. and wash hand basin.
The decor is in warm red tones.
Outside in the sunny seating area which faces south, you will find a parasol, a BBQ, along with table & chairs for eating outdoors.
The enclosed back garden looks onto green fields and the Aveyron valley.
The secluded swimming pool is unheated but is in full sun all day and the water temperature
is usually between 25 & 27c in July and August. There are sun loungers on the wide terrace around the pool which is surrounded by pretty flowers and shrubs.
The pool is shared with the owners and as there is only one Gite, most of the time you will have it all to yourself.
