[post_content] => This old watermill is situated on a small island with a waterfall alongside.

It is set in woodlands and meadows in a very peaceful valley.

The Lantouy river, whose source lies about 1km away in woodlands, flows through the grounds and is surrounded by unspoilt wilderness.

The water is very clear and suitable for bathing.

There is direct access to the Lot river from one of the meadows.

[post_content] => La Petite Grange is attached to the last house as you leave the small hamlet, and looks out on to open fields down to the stream and up again to the hills beyond. It is on the border between the Hautes-Pyrénées and the Gers and is an idyllic peaceful getaway for couples, a place to relax and unwind and get away from everyday stresses.

[post_content] => At Le Jardin de Cabrerets we have beautiful affordable one and two-bedroom apartments in a 19th century building, all newly refurbished. They are set in a charming medieval village, in a river valley, surrounded by stunning limestone cliffs. It is located in the heart of a natural (preserved) park, renowned for its natural beauty, wildlife and prehistoric caves, it is reputedly, one of the most beautiful parts of France

The village of Cabrerets is home to Grottes du Pech Merle caves which house prehistoric cave paintings, dating back 25,000 years, in addition to other vestiges from the 'cave-man' era as well as many beautiful geological features, the remarkableness of these popular caves has recently led to this site being designated a 'Grand Site du Midi-Pyrenees'.

Nestled in the cliffs of this charming village you will find semi-troglodite houses and a ruined chateau dating back to the year 700 AD, as well as a stunning 15th century chateau that provides a backdrop to a popular river-side swimming area.

There is an array of outdoor pursuits just here, you can hire kayaks and kayak through the stunning peaceful valley, or partake in adventure activities at the local activity centre where you can arrange rock-climbing, caving, canyoning, 'accro-branch' (adventure course in the cliffs and trees) and mountain-biking. There is also a horse-riding centre in the village where you can take a series of beautiful treks. Otherwise, you can take peaceful walks in the natural surroundings, there is some beautiful countryside as the village is situated in a natural park ('Le Parc Naturel Causses du Quercy') which hosts hundreds of walking and cycling tracks among abundant flora and fauna. The village is in between the larger medieval towns of Cahors and Figeac, a Cabrerets is close-by to the village of St Cirq Lapopie which has been officially designated one of the most beautiful villages in France.

[post_content] => The Gite (sleeps up to 4)
The luxury gite has been imaginatively transformed from the original outbuildings into a private hideaway that's perfect for couples. Beautifully furnished, the gite offers a well-equipped kitchen, a large, contemporary lounge featuring a wood-burning stove, and, just off the lounge, a sumptuous double bedroom with original “bulls eye” windows set high in the wall. With full central heating throughout, the gite is ideal for holidays all year round, including Christmas and New Year.

La Maison d'Iris sits within an acre of well-planted, landscaped gardens. Nestling in the heart of the grounds is a stunning 10m x 5m heated swimming pool (open from May to October). We hope you enjoy our house and gardens as much as we do.

We are dedicated to providing you with a range of services to make sure nothing stands between you and a wonderfully relaxing holiday. Here are some of the additional services on offer. We are happy to organise grocery shopping for your arrival, booking tours/ restaurants/ horse riding/ golf, lunchtime picnics, as well as providing additional housekeeping services, if they are required.

[post_content] => You enter the house from your private terrace directly into kitchen/diner which is fully equipped for 4 people and has air conditioning/electric heating. There is a TV and DVD player (we have an extensive selection of DVDs available to borrow from our games room) and limited European satellite channels. Also a CD player with connections for iPods/MP3s. If you haven't brought enough books to last you, there are plenty provided in the house. The windows look out over the valley.
Layout:
There is one double en-suite on the ground floor - also with lovely views of the valley and the surrounding countryside. This room has an electric heater - unlikely to be needed in the summer!

A staircase takes you down to the lower ground floor which has a king size double bed and en-suite shower/WC. There is air-conditioning/electric heating. An external door opens out on to a small grassed area with a table and chairs - ideal for an early morning cup of coffee or a final glass of wine at the end of the day.
At ground floor level you have your own private terrace - perfect for watching the sunset and if you are lucky you may see deer in the fields below or even our resident Owl family!

[post_content] => This charming property is made up of a group of three building set in a small rural hamlet about 7 km south of Villefranche de Rouergue, Aveyron, France.
Aveyron is in the Midi Pyrenees region, about equal distance from the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean. The owners who bought the property in 2001 are two artists, a Belgian sculptor and an Irish painter. They enjoy living here in this tranquil rural setting.
This quiet hamlet is in an agricultural area and includes about nine households.
The Gite itself is totally renovated and was completed in 2008. It consists of a bright living & kitchen area, a cosy bedroom, tiled shower room with w.c. and wash hand basin.
The decor is in warm red tones.
Outside in the sunny seating area which faces south, you will find a parasol, a BBQ, along with table & chairs for eating outdoors.
The enclosed back garden looks onto green fields and the Aveyron valley.
The secluded swimming pool is unheated but is in full sun all day and the water temperature
is usually between 25 & 27c in July and August. There are sun loungers on the wide terrace around the pool which is surrounded by pretty flowers and shrubs.
The pool is shared with the owners and as there is only one Gite, most of the time you will have it all to yourself.
For further information contact us for details of our website and telephone number.

[post_content] => Set in outstanding scenery overlooking the Viaur Gorge this beautifully restored former farmhouse offers traditional architecture whilst providing all the modern comforts of home. The property is one of three gites located on a farm complex which is in a small hamlet. The hamlet is located on the border of the Aveyron and Tarn departments offering easy access to all that these fabulously unspoilt departments have to offer.
The house is entered via a private patio area which has a table and seating for 6. A BBQ is provided and a sun canopy with outside lighting ensuring the perfect ambience for al fresco dining. A staircase leads to a balcony perfect for a quiet read. Through the front door you enter the large kitchen diner. The kitchen is fitted to a very high standard with a large fridge/ freezer, dishwasher, microwave, gas oven with extractor. It is fully stocked to enable full cooking facilities including over work-top lighting. Open stonework and beams combine with the oak dining table and chairs to provide a wonderful setting. Through the kitchen is a shower room and downstairs bedroom. On the second floor is a large sitting-room with Satellite TV, DVD + video, leading through to a second bedroom. Off a small landing a third story provides a romantic master bedroom and large bathroom up in the eves. In the grounds you will find the 12mx6m swimming pool. It has a large 1m deep area entered by semi circular steps providing a large safe area for less confident swimmers. This slopes away to a final depth of 2m allowing for those who like to dive. Lots of room to play but great for serious swimmers too. There is ample pool furniture available so you can enjoy relaxing and taking in the breath-taking views across the Viaur Gorge.
Washing machine and ironing facilities are located in shared laundry for the site.
