[post_content] => Our pretty gites just across the lawn from the pool are named after the Musketeers - D'Artagnan, Aramis, Porthos and Athos who all came from this area.
Aramis is a beautiful gite with exposed stonework and wood throughout, it is sunny and overlooks the garden and swimming pool. A wonderful place to sit and relax.
Aramis sleeps 5 with a double bedroom on the ground floor
a triple bedroom on the upper level which overlooks the pool and has a lovely view of Lassenat and the surrounding countryside.
The upper level has a shower room with washbasin, wc, and washing machine.
The ground floor has a lovely living/dining area and a fully equipped kitchen.
The downstairs lounge leads out through the french windows onto your private patio.
The gites contain all the essentials for a self-catering holiday including linen, and towels and a complimentary “welcome pack†with some groceries and wine, which we provide to get you off to the easiest of starts.
Each gite has satellite TV/Radio and receives multiple stations including all BBC and ITV channels. A library of English books and board games are also provided in each. Outside the gites have private patios with tables and chairs
They are surrounded by Lassenat's lawns, which includes the heated pool with its shower. The pool area is a natural suntrap perfect for getting that golden tan.
For al fresco dining, the Barbecue area is a matter of yards away, as is the Boules pitch, the scene of many competitive after dinner challenges.

[post_content] => La Maison is a beautifully furnished 5 bedroom house (originally the main farmhouse). You enter the house directly into the enormous and very modern kitchen which has a table seating 12 - ideal for those long, lazy lunches using the delicious local produce from the markets. The original stone walls ensure that the rooms are cool in summer, but if you are visiting us at other times of year, there are cosy woodburners for the kitchen and the living room. In the living room you have a TV and DVD player (we have an extensive selection of DVDs available to borrow from our games room). For the more musical among you there is also a piano - ideal for a good old-fashioned family sing-song or for making sure that children don't fall behind with practicing their scales. If you haven't brought enough books to last you, there are plenty provided in the house.
Layout:
There is one double en-suite on the ground floor.
Upstairs, there is a twin room and a very large double room which share a bathroom. In addition, there is our family suite. This is a very large space and has a double bed and a single bed on the first floor and then stairs up to a further double in the pigeonnier. These rooms share a bathroom. Ideal if you have young children. We can also provide a cot if you require one. The rooms on the first floor all have lovely views over the valley. Outside, you have your own private terrace - perfect for watching the sunset and if you are lucky you may see deer in the fields below or even our resident Owl family!
Outside, there is a 10mx5m pool to cool down on hot afternoons. This is shared with the small cottage next door and with our Safari-tent visitors. We also have a brand new games room for all our guests - pool table, table tennis, table football, darts, cards, board games - another popular space to cool off in the summer!

The gite has a fully fitted kitchen with double doors onto a private terrace. The dining area has a fireplace with a wood-burning stove and air conditioning. The living room has a TV, DVD player and mp3 player.
The extremely spacious main bedroom is on the ground floor. The Kingsize bed is fitted with Egyptian cotton sheets. There are double doors onto a private terrace with views over the vines. Upstairs is a smaller bedroom with twin beds. The bathroom has a free standing bath and walk-in shower, with a separate toilet. The gite has 2 private terraces overlooking the vines of Cahors, private heated pool and large garden.

All the basics provided for: We don't think you should need to buy staples such as olive oil, salt & pepper, dishwasher tablets, etc. When you arrive at Le Caillau you'll find all these basics provided for.
POTTERY PAINTING ATELIER
Create your own masterpiece with a selection of pottery to paint in our Atelier. Finished items need to be glazed and fired which takes up to 3 days.
KIDS
We aim to make your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. We provide essential items such as baby monitors, high chairs, stair gates etc. On arrival, your kids will receive their own welcome pack including pens, a scrap book, glue and a soft toy bunny in their own Le Caillau backpack. Our swimming pool is heated to make swimming more enjoyable for little ones. Nestled amongst our cherry trees find a trampoline, swing set & sand pit, not to mention lots of space for running around. We also have a children's menu in the restaurant and fresh baby foods can be prepared on request.

The barns are light and airy and have been converted to a very high standard to provide an inviting holiday home full of light and sunshine.
Entering into the kitchen and dinning area you'll be delighted by the sunny aspect of the room. This large, fully fitted kitchen, is complete with oak beams, dinning table and a comfortable settee and armchair. From here you can enter the lounge.
The lounge has comfortable sofas, coffee tables and TV. A good assortment of books and games are available to keep the family amused.
Also on the ground floor you will find a separate toilet with wash hand basin and a shower room. The gite has its own washing machine.
Upstairs are 4 light and airy bedrooms ..

Soft Furnishing Courses
Workshops are relaxed and delivered with a step by step guide. Demonstrations by Linda lead the way for you to have a go. You will learn many new skills by developing your own project. Class samples to look at are available to give you ideas and help take the mystery out of how to do certain techniques.
Curtains and blinds are small samples but fully operational and Linda gives great insight into the hardware and use of soft furnishing accessories. All the items you make can be taken home and used as a reference for your own projects alongside the class hand out and your own notes. You will gather a huge amount of professional hints and tips along the way and ideas for when you return home. It's easy when you know how!
All participants will be issued with a Ciseaux Certificate of Attendance.
Course Dates for 2014 are weeks commencing 8th June, 6th July, 20th September and 18th October 2014

Set in 2.5ha of pretty parkland nestling in its own little valley, La Maison du Soleil is close to all amenities but quiet enough to ensure you have a peaceful holiday.
On entering the property through impressive double barn doors you are welcomed into the cosy lounge area, original stone walls and beamed ceilings give added character. The gite is well equipped and furnished in a simple yet pleasing style. Subtle tones of beige and terracotta are accented with creams and greys to give a practical yet comfortable place to relax. UK Freesat TV or French channels, free wifi, CD, DVD player and Ipod doc are all supplied for those that need their technology! Alternatively, throw open all the doors and enjoy the warmth of the summer sun with the peacefulness of birdsong and French countryside. (There is even the option of snuggling up on the large sofa around the lovely wood burner on a cool night with a nice bottle of wine!)
The kitchen and dining area (off the lounge) are equipped for 8. The kitchen has all the modern appliances and kitchen equipment required, we even supply aprons and tea towels! Access from the back door takes you directly on to the private deck with parasol and outside dining table, chairs and sun loungers, together with a BBQ.
Off of each side of the lounge area are the two bedrooms, identical in size and layout with huge open beamed ceilings. Each room has a comfortable supper king bed (or 2x 90x200 singles). There are also sofabeds in each room that can be made up for a small weekly charge. The rooms are decorated with traditional furniture and modern soft furnishings to ensure maximum comfort whilst not compromising on style. Each room also has a large and well appointed private bathroom with separate toilet.
Access to the pool is on the other side of the property. It has ample parasols and sunbeds with stunning views.

It is fully stocked to enable full cooking facilities including over work-top lighting. Open stonework and beams combine with the oak dining table and chairs to provide a wonderful setting. Through the kitchen is a shower room and downstairs bedroom. On the second floor is a large sitting-room with Satellite TV, DVD + video, leading through to a second bedroom. Off a small landing a third story provides a romantic master bedroom and large bathroom up in the eves. In the grounds you will find the 12mx6m swimming pool. It has a large 1m deep area entered by semi circular steps providing a large safe area for less confident swimmers. This slopes away to a final depth of 2m allowing for those who like to dive. Lots of room to play but great for serious swimmers too. There is ample pool furniture available so you can enjoy relaxing and taking in the breath-taking views across the Viaur Gorge.

Set in eight acres of its own land amid oak trees, juniper bushes and box together with wild orchids and honeysuckle, Genévrier has all the ingredients for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The Vallée du Lot is further south than some people realise, spring comes early, summers are usually hot and dry and autumns are delightfully warm. It is a land of warmth and sunshine and spectacular beauty, scented with juniper and thyme and alive with butterflies, the perfect place to relax and unwind. Providing exclusivity and independence the cottage, which has recently been lovingly restored, offers simple but very comfortable accommodation for five guests and has been furnished as our home as opposed to a 'holiday house'.

The kitchen/dining area with its terracotta floor is well equipped and includes fridge/freezer, electric oven, gas hob, a microwave/combination oven and plenty of cupboards. The large old French pine dining table will comfortably seat 8 people.
Living Room
The open-plan sitting room has a sofa and easy chairs providing comfortable seating in front of the Jotul woodburning stove - extremely cosy on those out-of-season evenings! It also has a well stocked book case and a quality system to play your music.
Utility Room
Approached off the cuisine d'ete, the utility room houses the washing machine/dryer, double sink and a large fridge/freezer. It has large oak worktops and offers plenty of cool storage.

[post_content] => Our pretty gites just across the lawn from the pool are named after the Musketeers - D'Artagnan, Aramis, Porthos and Athos who all came from this area.
Aramis is a beautiful gite with exposed stonework and wood throughout, it is sunny and overlooks the garden and swimming pool. A wonderful place to sit and relax.
Aramis sleeps 5 with a double bedroom on the ground floor
a triple bedroom on the upper level which overlooks the pool and has a lovely view of Lassenat and the surrounding countryside.
The upper level has a shower room with washbasin, wc, and washing machine.
The ground floor has a lovely living/dining area and a fully equipped kitchen.
The downstairs lounge leads out through the french windows onto your private patio.
The gites contain all the essentials for a self-catering holiday including linen, and towels and a complimentary “welcome pack†with some groceries and wine, which we provide to get you off to the easiest of starts.
Each gite has satellite TV/Radio and receives multiple stations including all BBC and ITV channels. A library of English books and board games are also provided in each. Outside the gites have private patios with tables and chairs
They are surrounded by Lassenat's lawns, which includes the heated pool with its shower. The pool area is a natural suntrap perfect for getting that golden tan.
For al fresco dining, the Barbecue area is a matter of yards away, as is the Boules pitch, the scene of many competitive after dinner challenges.
