[post_content] => The cottage is recently renovated and equipped to a high standard. We aim to provide everything you could need for your perfect holiday or short break. The open plan accommodation includes a fully equipped fitted kitchen, a comfortable seating area with TV and DVD player with cds and dvds available. Free WIFI. There is a downstairs bedroom area and a modern bathroom (with hairdryer). All bedlinen and bathroom towels/adult robes and slippers are provided.
A spiral staircase leads to the mezzanine with a three bedded bedroom area and a further seating area with a small balcony looking out onto the large garden,
A private, child safe, above-ground solar-heated pool (with removable steps), a selection of bikes, a netted trampoline, tabletennis, swingball and a sandpit are available. A huge safe sandy play area and a playhouse full of toys make the garden especially suitable for toddlers and younger children.
Summer mornings regularly see the deer coming into the garden from our private wood to munch on our young vegetables!
Laundry facilities are available.
A FREE welcome pack of essentials is included.
SPECIAL PROVISION FOR CHILDREN:
Inside the cottage is a safety gate, baby alarm and nightlight together with some small childrens furniture. A selection of clean and new baby equipment is available on request.
Outside the cottage, the large garden is walled and gated for safety. The large selection of bikes available includes one with stabilisers and a toddler seat with helmet for a child weighing up to 22kg. There is a private, above-ground swimming pool which is inaccessible to children without a parent being present. The steps are removable! The trampoline in fully netted, for safety and the sand pit has a lid to keep it clean and a parasol to provide shade. For older children, there are mountain bikes, swingball, a tabletennis table, boules and various inflatables and a dinghy to take to the lake. A play house full of toys and a huge, partially-shaded outdoor play area, with lots of play equipment, ensures that the kids are happy and occupied.
Adult, English-speaking babysitting can be arranged.

[post_content] => This self catering gite incorporates the remainder of the stables and the former hay barn. This was originally an open fronted barn used for storing and drying the hay and straw. The double height front has allowed us to create a very light and airy feel to the downstairs lounge with French windows across the whole width. The kitchen has been opened up to the eaves and is equipped as the others with the addition of a dishwasher and a large dining table for up to 8 people.
The main entrance is via the double doors into the dining area from the private patio which on this gite is at the end of the barn. The patio is fully block paved and bordered by the garden wall on two sides and fencing and trellis on the third. Besides the outdoor dining furniture there is also a large barbecue built into the old chimney on the outside wall.

[post_content] => Colombard is the original 3 bedroomed cottage of the ferme, although normally with sleeping for 6 an extra bed and cot may be added if requested.
Bedroom 1 has a double bed, with ample space for a cot. Bedroom 2 has twin beds. Bedroom 3 has bunk beds & a cot which can be replaced by a single bed.
The ground floor bathroom has a both a bath and a shower, towels are included but we request that you do not use them by the pool. There is a separate wc upstairs.
The open plan living area is comfortable and spacious. Seating upto 8 with ease and includes television with satellite and DVD along with a hifi and CD.
The kitchen is well equipped and includes a dishwasher, micro-wave, fridge-freezer, cooker, kettle , coffee maker & tea towels.

[post_content] => La Cassiopee family friendly gite is next to our gite Le Cygne It is a pool side gite and has a small secure private gravelled terrace area with table, chairs, large parasol and charcoal barbecue. It has its own gated entrance (with child proof latch) to the pool area and so would be best for families with older children who can play and swim in the pool while mum and dad relax outside their cottage or for families with young babies who arn't on the move .
With its private and securely enclosed gravelled terrace, although not the best cottage to choose it is also secure for families with young children too.
There is a spacious open plan lounge / dining area. Brightly decorated and fully furnished to suit the needs of a family of up to six people. The thick stone walls are exposed and help keep the cottage cool during the hot summer months.
A steep open tread wooden staircase leads up to the first floor. It is supplied with a fitted stairgate at the top and a stair barrier at the bottom. The large master bedroom has king sized bed, cot and a fitted wardrobe with shelves and hanging space. There is a large window which overlooks the heated pool and spa area.
The two twin rooms each have clothes hanging space. The smaller twin room has a low window but this is fitted with a window lock. The windows in Cassiopee and Cygne do not have shutters, only curtains, so parents of young children may wish to bring blackout material with them to darken the rooms.
The bathroom has a modern full sized bath with shower attatchment, low flush toilet and sink. There is plenty of constant hot water and good pressure.
The gas cooker is supplied by a gas bottle which we will change for you at any time if needed. Cooking gas, electricity and water is included in the cost of the rental.
Through the double wooden patio doors you enter the cottage. A cool, tiled entrance area then leads up to the raised open plan wooden floored lounge /dining area. Please note there are two steps which are the full length of the entrance area so may not be ideal for parents of crawling or just walking children as these steps cannot be blocked off. The good sized kitchen is equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, gas oven/grill/4 ring hob, sink and all the crockery and cutlery required for an enjoyable and comfortable stay.
This family gite is part of the Les Vallaies family gite complex with heated pool near St Jean d'Angely in the Charente Maritime region of western France. An ideal location for discovering this beautiful region or for just relaxing in a child friendly environment where you can just relax whilst your children make new friends.

Papillon sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms. It was originally used for keeping animals (probably pigs - hence the name 'butterfly' ! it sounds nicer !) It has now been totally converted into a lovely cottage with terrace front and rear with charcoal barbecue. Downstairs is open plan with living and dining areas and for those who enjoy cooking up local french dishes such as moules in cream sauce - it has a very spacious kitchen area with loads of work space and cupboards for storing all those goodies purchased at the market. The low dark ceilings with ancient exposed central oak beam and the exposed stone walls, create a lovely dark, cool escape from the heat of the summer.
The kitchen is equipped with 4 ring gas hob, work top electric oven /grill, sink, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher and all the basic pots, pans, crockery and cutlery.
On the first floor is a good sized double bedroom with large wardrobe, draw unit and vanity basin; a twin room with wardrobe and a small childrens room with bunk beds and set of draws as well as hooks for hanging. The bathroom has a bath with shower facility, toilet and basin and as with all our cottages - loads of hot water and good pressure for the shower. The straight wooden staircase is open tread and is steeper than what you may be used to at home but has a stair barrier top and bottom. There is a stone step down to the doorway which may be an issue for toddlers. There is a spacious patio area front and rear with a bbq at the back and garden furniture at the front.
We can provide cots, highchairs, toddler step, booster seat, steriliser, monitors, play mats, baby chairs, child toilet seats, bedguards, pottys, baby baths and seats, changemats, hand blenders - just name it we've probably got it !
Stair barriers are standard in every gite top and bottom. There is an outside loo so children don't have to go upstairs at all during the day. We have a good selection of board games and books. We provide lots of local information and are familiar with local restaurants and beaches in the area. We have a 'day out folder' with sights you must not miss and comments from previous guests about great places they have discovered on their holiday

Chasselas is very toddler friendly: there are no long flights of stairs (gate provided for the short flight), a large bath and gated private garden area right opposite the children's' play area. Leading off from the back of the stone-walled living area is a double bedroom with a 1.8x2m solid oak four poster bed (and a wash basin). There are two good sized twin rooms up a couple of short flights and a large bathroom with wc, basin and tiled, family-sized "wine-cuvee" bath/shower at mezzanine level. Great fun for toddlers!

The cottage can sleep 6 people in the 3 bedrooms: a double, a twin and a bunk room, or up to 8 people using the bed-settee in the living room. A cot can also be provided on request.
The open plan living area comprises a large sitting room with a double sofa bed and kitchen area, well stocked with a full cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and a washing machine.
Indoor entertainment includes Satellite Television, DVD player and WiFi. A range of books, toys, board games and DVDs are also available.
Dine al-fresco under the welcome shade of the cherry tree in the private courtyard garden, complete with a gas BBQ, garden table, umbrella and chairs.
Unwind on a sun-lounger, take a refreshing dip in our pool or work out on our rower and stepper.
Relax and watch the children play on the large, enclosed field with its swings, badminton nets and football goals.

SPECIAL PROVISION FOR CHILDREN:
Inside the cottage is a safety gate, baby alarm and nightlight together with some small childrens furniture. A selection of clean and new baby equipment is available on request.
Outside the cottage, the large garden is walled and gated for safety. The large selection of bikes available includes one with stabilisers and a toddler seat with helmet for a child weighing up to 22kg. There is a private, above-ground swimming pool which is inaccessible to children without a parent being present. The steps are removable! The trampoline in fully netted, for safety and the sand pit has a lid to keep it clean and a parasol to provide shade. For older children, there are mountain bikes, swingball, a tabletennis table, boules and various inflatables and a dinghy to take to the lake. A play house full of toys and a huge, partially-shaded outdoor play area, with lots of play equipment, ensures that the kids are happy and occupied.
Adult, English-speaking babysitting can be arranged.
