Horloge Gite sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms and is mirror image of its neighbour Ruche Gite. They were originally one large barn with huge wooden doors, for the storage of hay in the 18th century and more recently, farm equipment. We split the barn in to two - each approximately 6m by 6m. Each has a spacious open plan ground floor with living and dining areas and a kitchen area.
The open tread, cast iron, spiral staircases lead to the first floor which have 2 twin rooms and a double.
They both have open terrace areas to the front and rear with charcoal barbecues at the rear. Two families together may like to let these two as there is a space between the two which may be used to put tables together and eat as one large group. The bathrooms each have a bath with shower attachment, basin and toilet and plenty of hot water and good pressure. Old beehives and an old grandfather clock case were found in the old barn, hence the names Ruche and Horloge.

The bedroom is 13m² in size; it has a double and a single bed (on request), dressing table, bedside tables & lamps and wardrobe.

The outside garden is completely enclosed and has a bbq, picnic table, parasol, swing, sun lounger & chairs.
The Puce is ideal for a couple or a couple with 1 or 2 small children.
Onsite facilities:
Our heated swimming pool is open from the 1st May until 25th September and is heated to 29°C throughout this period. It has a deep & a shallow end with very easy access for children & the elderly. The pool area is fenced & the entrance gate is alarmed to stop small children wandering into the pool area. Parasols, sunbeds & cushions are supplied as are a pool toys.
Adjacent to the pool is the games room with pool table, table tennis; book exchange, table football & a toddler's play area.
In front of the Puce is a very large playing field with a marked out mini football pitch, paddle tennis, badminton, cricket, boules & baseball. Rackets & balls are supplied. There is also a play area this has a selection of swings, slide & a sandpit.
The field is surrounded with trees and within there are a couple of dens for the children to play, this spot is also ideal areas for hanging hammock's these are supplied on request.

[post_content] => La Vieille Maison is a restored, ideal family holiday cottage with 1 double and 2 twin bedrooms, which look out either across the gardens or courtyard. The 2 twin bedrooms have additional roof windows to give that light and airy feel to the rooms, while the double bedroom has a delighful “Romeo and Juliet†balcony. There is a shower room on the first floor. The holiday accommodation is spread across two floors and comprises about 180m2 in total.
On the ground floor of the french holiday cottage there is a large lounge/dining room with wood beams and Charentaise stone walls, typical of this region of France, with a wood-burning stove. There is a large fully-fitted kitchen and an additional shower room.
Other benefits include dishwasher, stereo, TV and DVD player and washing machine, use of the communal BBQ area, plus a sunny garden-facing patio which is easily accessed from the lounge/dining area.
