[post_content] => "Verdhello" is accessed from the main lawn and has a self contained downstairs area adapted to be suitable for wheelchair users. The gated private garden/bbq area has a good view of the childrens' play area and the open plan kitchen/living area is well equipped.
Leading off the back of the living area is the master bedroom with en-suite wc, spa-bath and separate shower with seat. Once a store for barrels of cognac, the aroma has sadly now gone, but the residue from the "angels share" (the part of the cognac that evaporated from the barrels) may still be seen high up on the stone walls.
The massive oak doors between the lounge and master bedroom were designed to prevent the raiding English from defiling the sacred stores of cognac during the Napoleonic wars.
Upstairs there is a twin room, a single room and a small shower room with WC and basin. Please note that the stairs are quite steep (2 stairgates are provided). There is a low beam upstairs (about 1.6m) near the shower room and single bedroom.
A parking space is provided in the covered area between the main lawn and the pool.

An easy drive to the coast and beaches yet set in a stunning location, completely surrounded by open fields. Gite Jaune sleeps 5 in 3 bedrooms, 2 doubles and a childrens' single room. It has a full modern bathroom with bath and shower attachment, basin and toilet, with loads of hot water and excellent pressure. The cottage is stylishly decorated and furnished in a modern style. It does however retain its 200 yr old charm and character with its Charentaise fireplace, exposed stone walls and original oak beams. The spacious kitchen area has plenty of cupboard space and work top and is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, gas

There is a patio area with barbecue, table, chairs and parasol to the front of the cottage and a small area of lawn to the rear accessed from around the side of the cottage.

The patio is at the front of the gite, is the width of the ground floor and has outdoor furniture and barbecue and once again is screened for privacy by wooden fencing, trellis and climbing plants.

There is a large window and double window/door which makes this a very sunny cottage, but the thick stone walls keep the cottage cool in the heat of the summer. Exposed beams and original features create a characterful family self catering holiday gite with the conveniences of home.
Outside is your own gravelled terrace area a real sun trap with barbecue, garden tables, chairs and parasol looking out onto the communal play area and swings. Great for sun lovers.
Down stairs is very spacious and open plan. There is a lounge area with sofa and armchairs for six and coffee table; a dining area with large dining table; and a kitchen area along one wall. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and gas oven / 4 ring hob / grill. It has plenty of cupboard space and all basic crockery and cutlery.
This family gite is part of the Les Vallaies family gite complex with heated pool near St Jean d'Angely in the Charente Maritime region of western France. An ideal location for discovering this beautiful region or for just relaxing in a child friendly environment where you can just relax whilst your children make new friends.

This exclusive holiday villa is set in the middle of the Charente Maritime countryside with stunning views in all directions. The villa has its own spacious garden area surrounding it, with a private gated entrance to the swimming pool area (with child safety lock). The four large bedrooms, three doubles and one children's twin room (which also has a selection of toys and games) are comfortably furnished. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room with mosaic tiling.
The contemporary open plan kitchen / diner has stunning views, particularly of the amazing sunsets. It is very well equipped with a double fridge freezer, large stainless steel Range cooker with electric oven/grill plus 6 ring gas hob (including a wok burner) with stainless steel extractor. Matching stainless steel dishwasher, microwave, toaster, electric kettle etc. plus all crockery, glassware and cutlery needed for a very comfortable stay (childrens colourful plastic plates, cups and cutlery also provided). Two of the double rooms at the rear of the villa have twin patio doors opening out onto a large wooden deck which overlooks the absolutely beautiful pool area. The main bathroom, once again with mosaic tiles, is huge with an enormous 270 L bath. There is a spacious lounge which has windows looking south over the village of Le Gicq and plenty of comfortable seating for all. There is also a DVD player and small selection of films.
Villa Blanc is the owners second home and as such is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. It is available to let together or separately with Gite Jaune and Gite Bleu on the Hameau des Martres property.
It sleeps 8 in four bedrooms, 3 doubles one with en suite shower room and a twin room. Large main bathroom with 270L bath.
