Horloge Gite sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms and is mirror image of its neighbour Ruche Gite. They were originally one large barn with huge wooden doors, for the storage of hay in the 18th century and more recently, farm equipment. We split the barn in to two - each approximately 6m by 6m. Each has a spacious open plan ground floor with living and dining areas and a kitchen area.
The open tread, cast iron, spiral staircases lead to the first floor which have 2 twin rooms and a double.
They both have open terrace areas to the front and rear with charcoal barbecues at the rear. Two families together may like to let these two as there is a space between the two which may be used to put tables together and eat as one large group. The bathrooms each have a bath with shower attachment, basin and toilet and plenty of hot water and good pressure. Old beehives and an old grandfather clock case were found in the old barn, hence the names Ruche and Horloge.

[post_content] => A quirky, charming little house in a romantic setting overlooking the mediaeval town of Confolens in the Poitou-Charentes region of France, La Petite Tour (The Little Tower) is the perfect spot for a romantic weekend or short break for two. It's equally suitable for singles. A place to chill out, re-charge the batteries, find inspiration or just watch the world go by.
The building (or part of it) dates back to to the 11th Century, when it formed part of the Porte Saint Michel gates, leading from the area of St. Michel into the mediaeval town of Confolens. A gate hook remains on the wall to this day, and the bulding is classified as an ancient monument.
It's unclear exactly when the building was first used as a house, but when the present owners acquired it in 2010, it hadn't been occupied for about twenty years. Today, the interior of the house has been transformed into a sympathetically designed, cosy living space, combining modern living requirements with the charm of some original features.
Within about 45 minutes' drive of Limoges airport and 1 hour 10 minutes of Poitiers, with easy access to the A10 motorway network and with TGV (high speed) rail connections to Eurostar from Limoges, Poitiers or Angouleme railway stations, visiting the lovely old town of Confolens is easy.

[post_content] => Les Hirondelles is an 18th century detached barn, sympathetically converted to offer you fully modernised accommodation whilst retaining charm and character. It has oak beams and exposedstone throughout. There are two large bedrooms, both with en-suite facilities, to suit 4 persons and from the bedroom windows you have views of the orchard and potager.
The kitchen area is fully equipped with fridge, gas cooker, microwave and dishwasher, as well as toaster, coffee maker, kettle and plenty of crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils. The dining area retains its original manger and has a large old pine table and chairs as well as a two seater sofa. The comfortable living area has a sofa and two armchairs and a flatscreenTV with British satellite tv, as well as a DVD player and CD player. A selection of DVDs and books is also available for guests' use.
The beautiflul ash staircase leads to a landing with two bedrooms. The double bedroom has a wrought iron double bed, wardrobe and drawer unit and the en-suite facilities include hand basin, toilet. and shower system with massage jets.
The twin room has two wrought iron single beds, a large pine chest of drawers and a recessed area for hanging clothes. The en-suite bathroom has a hand basin, toilet and bath with an over shower attachment.
An iron, ironing board and hairdrier are also provided within the property.

The large master bedroom has a super-king (1.8mx2m) oak frame four poster bed and a small en-suite with shower, basin, bidet and w.c. (low ceiling in the en-suite). There is a triple room (double + single) downstairs behind the lounge and a twin room and a bathroom above the kitchen (access is via a steep staircase with a gate).
The large lounge/dining area (above right) has three sofas, a coffee table and a huge oak farmhouse dining table with bench seats. A CD player with MP3/USB is included and TV/DVDs are available for hire (see extras section). The kitchen is well equipped and also includes a small breakfast table. There are two staircases in the cottage, each with a stair gate.
A private parking area (not covered) for 2 cars is provided behind the gîte.

The kitchen and dining room - Downstairs is the entrance hall, extending to the rear of the house with its tiled floor, exposed wooden beams and original niches. At the end of the hallway there is a bathroom with a bath with shower, hand basin and WC. There is always plenty of hot water.
Leading from the downstairs hallway is the fully fitted kitchen/dining room, which features exposed wooden beams and floor tiles. The room easily accommodates a family-sized dining table and chairs.
The living room - The comfortable living room also boasts original exposed wooden beams, tiled floor, several rugs, comfortable sofa and relaxing armchairs. Upstairs leads to a spacious landing and hallway with storage space.
Bedrooms - The main bedroom, which is surprisingly large, is furnished with a double bed (140cms wide), bedside tables, a generous wardrobe and a full set of drawers. There are two windows plus a Velux window. Bedrooms two and three have twin beds, bedside tables and lamps, with ample storage.
At the end of the hallway is a shower room with Jacuzzi-type shower and hand basin. Also leading from the upstairs hallway is a separate WC with wash basin.
All the bedrooms benefit from fitted carpeting with one wall featuring pointed Charentaise stone.
With the option of full central heating, La Ferme is a perfect place to stay at any time of the year.

[post_content] => The comfortable cottage at Ouismes, comprises a large furnished sitting room with a cosy wood stove for the winter months. There is a fully equipped kitchen in the corner with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge. The open plan staircase takes you up to a large double bed room with en suite shower room and wc. There is a large window on the stairwell bringing plenty of light and a small one overlooking the garden and valley below. There is a cot and folding bed suitable for a baby, toddler or small child.
Outside there is a large terrace with table and chairs, a border of fresh herbs, flower beds, a lawn and an off-road private parking space. The whole garden and terrace is enclosed by a fence. Guests are invited to enjoy the owners' 'child free' pool and terrace during the day. Two bikes are also available. Depending on the season there is also produce from the garden for sale.
In 2013 the village of Crezieres won the Departmental 1st prize in the sub 500 inhabitants section of the 'Village Fleurie' flower competition.

[post_content] => Clairette is the largest cottage at La Vendange. The master bedroom, living room and the large kitchen/dining room face due South, so Clairette is full of space and light. Clairette features off-road parking, a private lawn, courtyard and (like all the other cottages) an outdoor dining/BBQ area which looks out over the main lawn/childrens' play area.
The large kitchen/formal dining area is open plan in the local style and is approx. 30m2.
The sitting room leads through to a downstairs double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (including a "Balneo Therapie" spa bath). There is also a downstairs wc. The double room leads through to a small annex bunk bedroom most suitable for young children as the only access is via the downstairs double. The spacious kitchen/dining room is accessed via the sitting room or from the courtyard. Upstairs there is a large master bedroom (with giant 1.8mx2.0m oak four poster bed), a shower room with wc and a twin room.
One of the highlights of Clairette is the "Zen garden" with a swinging seat and water feature. There is a second outdoor dining set on the private lawn which can easily be moved into the Zen garden.
