[post_content] => Gite Bleu can be let separately or together with the contemporary villa and smaller gite Jaune. Gite Bleu sleeps 6 in three bedrooms with two double rooms, one twin room and 1 bathroom.(with the possibility of a fourth bedroom - twin at extra charge) It has a superbly spacious and light ground floor with open plan corner kitchen and dining area, sitting area and 'library corner' . The spacious kitchen area has plenty of cupboard space and is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, stainless steel oven, grill, 4 ring hob, toaster and microwave plus all crockery and cutlery required for a comfortable self catering holiday.
The two double rooms are spacious and light. The twin room is cosy with low ceilings so are ideal for children. The full modern bathroom with bath and shower attachment, basin and toilet, has loads of hot water and excellent pressure. Outside there is garden table and chairs and barbecue.

[post_content] => This is a delightful and spacious, two bedroom stone gîte in an enclosed courtyard. Located in the grounds of a former Cognac distillery, Le Gîte du Portail is approached through grand entrance gates and has its own large, partially shaded garden with extensive views over wonderful open countryside.
This gîte has been carefully renovated and recently modernised to a very high standard, offering spacious accommodation for up to four people. Le Gîte du Portail is surprisingly large inside with thick stone walls, making it beautifully cool in summer and very cosy in the winter.
The living room - On the ground floor is a comfortable fully equipped lounge and dining room.
The kitchen - The attractive and practical kitchen with a tiled floor and beamed wooden ceiling offers plenty of storage. A spiral staircase leads to a large upper hallway with access to the bedrooms and the bathrooms.
Bedrooms - Upstairs are two sizeable bedrooms. The main bedroom is approximately 6m x 5m, with a beamed, vaulted ceiling and has a super king-size bed. This room has an en-suite shower room with hand basin and WC. A feature of this bedroom is a stained glass window, hand-crafted locally in Vinax by an artist who has renovated windows of Salisbury Cathedral in England. The second bedroom has twin beds. Both rooms are very comfortable and benefit from fitted carpets and rugs.
There is a well appointed modern bathroom with a full size bath, WC, separate shower and hair dryer. Ample hot water is always available.
With the option of efficient gas-fired central heating Le Gîte du Portail is a perfect place to stay at any time of the year.

The large master bedroom has a super-king (1.8mx2m) oak frame four poster bed and a small en-suite with shower, basin, bidet and w.c. (low ceiling in the en-suite). There is a triple room (double + single) downstairs behind the lounge and a twin room and a bathroom above the kitchen (access is via a steep staircase with a gate).
The large lounge/dining area (above right) has three sofas, a coffee table and a huge oak farmhouse dining table with bench seats. A CD player with MP3/USB is included and TV/DVDs are available for hire (see extras section). The kitchen is well equipped and also includes a small breakfast table. There are two staircases in the cottage, each with a stair gate.
A private parking area (not covered) for 2 cars is provided behind the gîte.

Our spacious cottage looks out onto an attractive courtyard and has its own private garden with access to a further six acres to explore. Ideal for couples, families or groups of friends, the cottage is a countryside haven and yet we are an easy drive away from châteaux and numerous attractions in both the beautiful Loire Valley and Deux Sèvres regions.
It is our aim that you will be as comfortable as possible and thoroughly enjoy your holiday. We are very happy to help with information on local attractions, booking restaurants etc. However if you prefer to be totally independent, that is absolutely fine too!
The village of Cersay is only one kilometre away with a general store and post office, bakers, and chemist. Just a two minute drive or a ten minute walk and you can enjoy freshly baked croissants for breakfast. You can also visit a goat and snail farm in the village and buy the produce.
We are only 15 minutes drive from the larger towns of Thouars or Doué La Fontaine.
There are excellent local markets in the surrounding area. Local vignerons sell wine directly and tastings can be arranged. Quiet country roads and lanes make this location a perfect base for a cycling or walking holiday; it is also a bird-watcher's paradise.

It has a sitting/dinning room fully equipped kitchen and washing machine. A good sized bedroom with alcove for a desk, and and en suite shower room. Outside is a fully furnished wooden terrace with views onto the paddock, complete with a built in BBQ.

[post_content] => Recently restored and renovated, Le Gîte du Puits is very homely and comfortable, sleeping up to four people. Located in the grounds of a former Cognac distillery, the gîte adjoins La Ferme and there is an interconnecting door, which is kept locked unless the same party books both properties.
This Charentaise stone building has been beautifully renovated with great care and attention, whilst retaining all its atmosphere and charm.
All the accommodation is conveniently arranged on the ground floor.
The kitchen and dining room - The front door of the gîte leads into the fully fitted kitchen and dining room with tiled floor, original exposed beams and an antique wooden ceiling.
The lounge - The lounge offers plenty of comfortable seating and an ancient stone well feature which is now sealed but is illuminated at night. There are exposed beams and a tiled floor with rugs. One wall in the lounge reveals the original Charentaise stone and there is also a comfortable double sofa-bed.
Full-length French windows deliver plenty of light and open out onto the patio.
Bedrooms - The main bedroom is furnished with twin beds but these can be made up as a king size bed. The bedroom has exposed beams and one wall features the Charentaise stone. The bathroom has a tiled floor and is equipped with a walk-in shower, hand basin and WC. There is always plenty of hot water.
With the option of full central heating, Le Gîte du Puits is a perfect place to stay at any time of the year.

Fleurie family gite (far left) Sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms, one double and a twin. It is at the end of the row opposite the swimming pool. It has an open plan downstairs lounge / dining area with kitchenette with dishwasher. It has an open tread, cast iron spiral staircase with stair barriers top and bottom. There is a patio area with barbecue, table, chairs and parasol to the front of the cottage and a small area of lawn to the rear accessed from around the side of the cottage.

[post_content] => "Verdhello" is accessed from the main lawn and has a self contained downstairs area adapted to be suitable for wheelchair users. The gated private garden/bbq area has a good view of the childrens' play area and the open plan kitchen/living area is well equipped.
Leading off the back of the living area is the master bedroom with en-suite wc, spa-bath and separate shower with seat. Once a store for barrels of cognac, the aroma has sadly now gone, but the residue from the "angels share" (the part of the cognac that evaporated from the barrels) may still be seen high up on the stone walls.
The massive oak doors between the lounge and master bedroom were designed to prevent the raiding English from defiling the sacred stores of cognac during the Napoleonic wars.
Upstairs there is a twin room, a single room and a small shower room with WC and basin. Please note that the stairs are quite steep (2 stairgates are provided). There is a low beam upstairs (about 1.6m) near the shower room and single bedroom.
A parking space is provided in the covered area between the main lawn and the pool.
