Three bedrooms off the large landing ideal for families with the main master super king room with ensuite, 2nd king size room and 3rd with two double beds, both rooms sharing a large family bathroom.Outside there is a private pool and terrace with security fence, the pool has a shallow end for younger children and a deep end for keen divers. This exclusive holiday villa is set in the middle of the Charente Maritime countryside with stunning views in all directions. The villa has its own spacious garden area surrounding it, with a private gated entrance to the swimming pool area (with child safety lock). The four large bedrooms, three doubles and one children's twin room (which also has a selection of toys and games) are comfortably furnished. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room with mosaic tiling.
The contemporary open plan kitchen / diner has stunning views, particularly of the amazing sunsets. It is very well equipped with a double fridge freezer, large stainless steel Range cooker with electric oven/grill plus 6 ring gas hob (including a wok burner) with stainless steel extractor. Matching stainless steel dishwasher, microwave, toaster, electric kettle etc. plus all crockery, glassware and cutlery needed for a very comfortable stay (childrens colourful plastic plates, cups and cutlery also provided). Two of the double rooms at the rear of the villa have twin patio doors opening out onto a large wooden deck which overlooks the absolutely beautiful pool area. The main bathroom, once again with mosaic tiles, is huge with an enormous 270 L bath. There is a spacious lounge which has windows looking south over the village of Le Gicq and plenty of comfortable seating for all. There is also a DVD player and small selection of films.
Villa Blanc is the owners second home and as such is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. It is available to let together or separately with Gite Jaune and Gite Bleu on the Hameau des Martres property.
It sleeps 8 in four bedrooms, 3 doubles one with en suite shower room and a twin room. Large main bathroom with 270L bath. It has stunning views and enjoys the same facilities on the property as the gites of heated, enclosed swimming pool, large play field with play tower, swings, slide and sandpit and a tranquil, rural location. [post_content] => Le Petit Chêne is a light and comfortable south facing cottage,situated in a secluded valley close to Aubeterre, one of the prettiest villages in France,surrounded by fields, woods and vines. The market town of Chalais is 2 mins away by car or a 20 minute walk.
The property consists of 2 double rooms with a separate twin bedded room. There is a bathroom with shower, hand basin and toilet and also another separate toilet. There are 2 terraces, one a sunny south facing for the sun lovers and another which is covered for protection when its too hot. There is a 11x4 metre Heated pool and a Hot Tub which is shared with the owners who live on site to help with information on the local area.
Freeview UK satellite TV, a DVD player, MP3/CD player and free broadband Wi-Fi is also provided.
Linen and Towels are also provided, but please bring pool towels.

Located in the grounds of a former Cognac distillery, Le Gîte du Portail is approached through grand entrance gates and has its own large, partially shaded garden with extensive views over wonderful open countryside.
This gîte has been carefully renovated and recently modernised to a very high standard, offering spacious accommodation for up to four people. Le Gîte du Portail is surprisingly large inside with thick stone walls, making it beautifully cool in summer and very cosy in the winter.
The living room - On the ground floor is a comfortable fully equipped lounge and dining room.
The kitchen - The attractive and practical kitchen with a tiled floor and beamed wooden ceiling offers plenty of storage. A spiral staircase leads to a large upper hallway with access to the bedrooms and the bathrooms.
Bedrooms - Upstairs are two sizeable bedrooms. The main bedroom is approximately 6m x 5m, with a beamed, vaulted ceiling and has a super king-size bed. This room has an en-suite shower room with hand basin and WC. A feature of this bedroom is a stained glass window, hand-crafted locally in Vinax by an artist who has renovated windows of Salisbury Cathedral in England. The second bedroom has twin beds. Both rooms are very comfortable and benefit from fitted carpets and rugs.
There is a well appointed modern bathroom with a full size bath, WC, separate shower and hair dryer. Ample hot water is always available.
With the option of efficient gas-fired central heating Le Gîte du Portail is a perfect place to stay at any time of the year.

Utility Room: An iron, ironing board, floor mop, pan and brush, broom, bucket, clothes horse and basic cleaning materials including washing up liquid, detergent, conditioner, floor cleaner and dishwasher tablets are all provided for the convenience of guests.
Living Rooms: The lounge has a cosy settee, arm chairs and coffee table. The dining area has a wrought iron glass-top dining table with matching chairs to seat 4. There is a TV with Sky satellite free channels and DVD player. The gîte has broadband internet with WIFI.

Papillon sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms. It was originally used for keeping animals (probably pigs - hence the name 'butterfly' ! it sounds nicer !) It has now been totally converted into a lovely cottage with terrace front and rear with charcoal barbecue. Downstairs is open plan with living and dining areas and for those who enjoy cooking up local french dishes such as moules in cream sauce - it has a very spacious kitchen area with loads of work space and cupboards for storing all those goodies purchased at the market. The low dark ceilings with ancient exposed central oak beam and the exposed stone walls, create a lovely dark, cool escape from the heat of the summer.
The kitchen is equipped with 4 ring gas hob, work top electric oven /grill, sink, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher and all the basic pots, pans, crockery and cutlery.
On the first floor is a good sized double bedroom with large wardrobe, draw unit and vanity basin; a twin room with wardrobe and a small childrens room with bunk beds and set of draws as well as hooks for hanging. The bathroom has a bath with shower facility, toilet and basin and as with all our cottages - loads of hot water and good pressure for the shower. The straight wooden staircase is open tread and is steeper than what you may be used to at home but has a stair barrier top and bottom. There is a stone step down to the doorway which may be an issue for toddlers. There is a spacious patio area front and rear with a bbq at the back and garden furniture at the front.
We can provide cots, highchairs, toddler step, booster seat, steriliser, monitors, play mats, baby chairs, child toilet seats, bedguards, pottys, baby baths and seats, changemats, hand blenders - just name it we've probably got it !
Stair barriers are standard in every gite top and bottom. There is an outside loo so children don't have to go upstairs at all during the day. We have a good selection of board games and books. We provide lots of local information and are familiar with local restaurants and beaches in the area. We have a 'day out folder' with sights you must not miss and comments from previous guests about great places they have discovered on their holiday

[post_content] => La Baleine family gite is next toour gite La Vierge, south facing and adjacent to the garden area. It is a private gite in that its terrace is surrounded by a high wall, giving some shade and some privacy. It sleeps 6 in 4 bedrooms.
The cottage may also suit someone who has difficulty with stairs since it has a downstairs single bedroom with en suite shower room and toilet, ideal when bringing Grandma or Grandpa. The door is extra wide to allow wheel chair access to the room, however we strongly advise you speak to us first if you do require wheelchair access to the property as some areas may not be suitable. Please note that the high wall means that parents of young children will not be able to see them in the play garden. The courtyard has a gate, so you can prevent toddlers escaping from your view when you don't want them to.

Three bedrooms off the large landing ideal for families with the main master super king room with ensuite, 2nd king size room and 3rd with two double beds, both rooms sharing a large family bathroom.Outside there is a private pool and terrace with security fence, the pool has a shallow end for younger children and a deep end for keen divers. Adjacent to the pool is a BBQ area and out door/Al Fresco dining, there is also a covered area if you prefer to dine in the shade.The private surrounding grounds encompass a large accessible paddock and pretty views to the countryside.
