Grenier gite sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms. On the ground floor there is an open plan living dining area and a medium sized kitchen to the front. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, 4 ring gas hob, mini work top electric oven/grill, microwave, fridge freezer plus drinks refrigerator and all basic crockery and cutlery. An open tread, cast iron, spiral staircase takes you to the first floor with double bedroom and single bedroom, both of which have draws and hanging space. there is a modern bathroom with bath, shower facility, toilet and basin, with loads of hot water and good pressure.. The staircase continues to the second floor - a large open attic bedroom with 3 single beds. There is a small wardrobe and 2 sets of draws.We recommend that this room is used by older children who are able to safely negotiate the spiral staircase to visit the bathroom at night, or by a child in a cot (and cannot get out) however a stairbarrier is provided. A travel cot will fit in any of the bedrooms and there is also a wooden cot on the spacious landing.

Suitable only for families with older children (8yrs and over) Please note that this is the owners second home and may not be available for rental every year, please ask. This exclusive holiday villa is set in the middle of the Charente Maritime countryside with stunning views in all directions. The villa has its own spacious garden area surrounding it, with a private gated entrance to the swimming pool area (with child safety lock). The four large bedrooms, three doubles and one children's twin room (which also has a selection of toys and games) are comfortably furnished. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room with mosaic tiling.
The contemporary open plan kitchen / diner has stunning views, particularly of the amazing sunsets. It is very well equipped with a double fridge freezer, large stainless steel Range cooker with electric oven/grill plus 6 ring gas hob (including a wok burner) with stainless steel extractor. It has a light, airy, open-plan living/dining/kitchen area with double height ceiling over the living area, comfortably furnished with sofa & 2 armchairs, flat screen LCD TV with British freesat, French & other European satellite channels , DVD/CD player, HiFi,loads of DVDs & CDs; and WiFi!
The dining table seats 4. The kitchen is well equipped with multifunction oven, gas hob, espresso machine, Dualit toaster, washer/dryer, dishwasher, & fridge-freezer.
French windows to the front and to the courtyard provide lots of light.
The ground floor bathroom has both shower & bath.
Stairs lead to a gallery landing (safety gate available for young children). Off the landing is a twin room with 2 very comfortable low-level futon beds, a canvas wardrobe & drawer units& a velux window for stargazing.
The romantic main bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe, bedside cupboards & antique pine chest of drawers. Its windows overlook the garden (east) and the courtyard (west) and it has a large ensuite shower room with heated towel rail.
Libellule has under-floor heating throughout, except in the twin bedroom which has an electric radiator. Good insulation & double glazing keep the cottage snug in the cooler months.
Libellule has its own private courtyard with carport. There isaccess to Libellule's suntrap patio with garden dining furniture and gas barbecue, and to the large secure garden (you will have sole use of this except on our occasional maintenance visits).
There's plenty of lawn space for children to play, or for you to relax in the hammock or on the loungers, whilst taking in the view down to the Gironde. In season you can help yourselvesto apricots, plums, figs, apples & pears & pick fresh herbs to flavour your cooking. There is parking for one car in Libellule's courtyard & also in the owners' driveway.

The ground floor bedroom has a built-in wardrobe, double bed and en suite multi-jet shower cabinet, vanity and wc. Towels are included but we request that you do not use them by the pool.
The upstairs bedroom has both a double and a single bed with ample space for a cot or additional bed with similar en suite facilities to the ground floor bedroom.
The open plan, air conditioned living area is comfortable and spacious with its vaulted ceiling. Seating 6 with ease and includes television with satellite and dvd along with a hifi unit. For the cooler periods there is a large wood burning stove.
The kitchen is well equipped and includes a dishwasher, micro-wave, fridge-freezer, cooker, kettle , coffee maker & tea towels. Outside to the patio with table & chairs and a BBQ

2 Bedroomed Ugni-Blanc was the original Cognac store and on entry the aroma of the "Angels Share" prevailed. Unfortunately this has gone the way of the Cognac, but many features of the original building remain along with the solid oak beams and new oak floors.
