[post_content] => La Baleine family gite is next toour gite La Vierge, south facing and adjacent to the garden area. It is a private gite in that its terrace is surrounded by a high wall, giving some shade and some privacy. It sleeps 6 in 4 bedrooms.
The cottage may also suit someone who has difficulty with stairs since it has a downstairs single bedroom with en suite shower room and toilet, ideal when bringing Grandma or Grandpa. The door is extra wide to allow wheel chair access to the room, however we strongly advise you speak to us first if you do require wheelchair access to the property as some areas may not be suitable. Please note that the high wall means that parents of young children will not be able to see them in the play garden. The courtyard has a gate, so you can prevent toddlers escaping from your view when you don't want them to.

Private driveway, double French doors with patio area plus a huge decked area at the rear of the property overlooking the magnificent pool. Suitable only for families with older children (8yrs and over) Please note that this is the owners second home and may not be available for rental every year, please ask. This exclusive holiday villa is set in the middle of the Charente Maritime countryside with stunning views in all directions. The villa has its own spacious garden area surrounding it, with a private gated entrance to the swimming pool area (with child safety lock). The four large bedrooms, three doubles and one children's twin room (which also has a selection of toys and games) are comfortably furnished. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room with mosaic tiling.
The contemporary open plan kitchen / diner has stunning views, particularly of the amazing sunsets. It is very well equipped with a double fridge freezer, large stainless steel Range cooker with electric oven/grill plus 6 ring gas hob (including a wok burner) with stainless steel extractor. Matching stainless steel dishwasher, microwave, toaster, electric kettle etc. plus all crockery, glassware and cutlery needed for a very comfortable stay (childrens colourful plastic plates, cups and cutlery also provided). Two of the double rooms at the rear of the villa have twin patio doors opening out onto a large wooden deck which overlooks the absolutely beautiful pool area. The main bathroom, once again with mosaic tiles, is huge with an enormous 270 L bath. There is a spacious lounge which has windows looking south over the village of Le Gicq and plenty of comfortable seating for all. There is also a DVD player and small selection of films.
Villa Blanc is the owners second home and as such is furnished and equipped to a very high standard. It is available to let together or separately with Gite Jaune and Gite Bleu on the Hameau des Martres property.
It sleeps 8 in four bedrooms, 3 doubles one with en suite shower room and a twin room. Large main bathroom with 270L bath. It has stunning views and enjoys the same facilities on the property as the gites of heated, enclosed swimming pool, large play field with play tower, swings, slide and sandpit and a tranquil, rural location. [post_content] => The gite is very tranquil and private. Apart from the main house there are no neighbours for over a kilometer. However it is only 2 Kilometers from N10. With restaurants and shops 10/15 minutes away.
It has a sitting/dinning room fully equipped kitchen and washing machine. A good sized bedroom with alcove for a desk, and and en suite shower room. Outside is a fully furnished wooden terrace with views onto the paddock, complete with a built in BBQ.

There is a spacious terrace overlooking the large garden with use of sunbeds, parasol and BBQ so that you can enjoy the sunshine throughout the day and evening. The garden is laid to lawn with peach, plum, pear, apricot, berry and fig trees that you can pick on your holiday. The garden is surrounded by a stone wall, so is private andsafe for children and dogs.
The farmhouse has been recently renovated, but has retained many ofthe original features including fireplaces, wooden beams, bread oven, millstone and polished wooden floors.

The three properties share this stunning location with its fabulous pool and gardens. Hameau des Martres is set just outside the rural village of Le Gicq in the Charente Maritime department of the Poitou Charente in western France. An easy drive to the coast and beaches yet set in a stunning location, completely surrounded by open fields. Gite Jaune sleeps 5 in 3 bedrooms, 2 doubles and a childrens' single room. It has a full modern bathroom with bath and shower attachment, basin and toilet, with loads of hot water and excellent pressure. The cottage is stylishly decorated and furnished in a modern style. It does however retain its 200 yr old charm and character with its Charentaise fireplace, exposed stone walls and original oak beams. The spacious kitchen area has plenty of cupboard space and work top and is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, gas
oven, grill, 4 ring hob, toaster and microwave plus all crockery and cutlery required for a comfortable self catering holiday. There are two leather sofas and a dining table for 5 in the open plan downstairs. It has off road parking and a spacious front terrace area for outdoor dining with wooden garden table, chairs, parasol and barbecue. Bothe gites can accomodate families with all aged children, stair barriers and other baby /toddler equipment (high chairs, booster seats, change mats, cots, plastic crockery/cutlery etc is provided in both gites.

[post_content] => Sunrise Cottage is one of two on site, alongside our house. The whole property is set in an acre of garden. Sunrise has a lounge/diner, kitchen and shower room downstairs. Upstairs are 2 good size bedrooms, one double and one with 3 single beds.
The cottage is comfortably furnished. In the lounge area is a large Charentaise fireplace with woodburner. Seating is a 3 seater and a 2 seater sofa. There is a mini hi fi with CD, tape player and radio and a TV/video player and a selection of books, videos and games.
The dining area has a large farmhouse table which seats 5 and a sideboard with all the crockery, cutlery, glasses and dishes that you will need. There is high chair for a baby/toddler.
In the kitchen is a double sink unit, gas oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine, toaster and all the necessary pans and utensils.
The shower room has a shower cubicle, WC and washbasin. There is a baby bath if needed.
The double bedroom has a chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. There is a cupboard on the landing for clothes hanging/storage space for the occupants of this room. The second bedroom has a chest of drawers and a fitted cupboard for hanging clothes and storage. Both bedrooms have the traditional little floor level windows, exposed beams and roof windows.

Fleurie family gite (far left) Sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms, one double and a twin. It is at the end of the row opposite the swimming pool. It has an open plan downstairs lounge / dining area with kitchenette with dishwasher. It has an open tread, cast iron spiral staircase with stair barriers top and bottom. There is a patio area with barbecue, table, chairs and parasol to the front of the cottage and a small area of lawn to the rear accessed from around the side of the cottage.
Perfect choice for a small family.

The bedroom has a built in wardrobe and a double bed with ample space for an extra bed or cot and en suite multijet shower cabinet, vanity and wc. Towels are provided but we request that you do not use them by the pool.
The large open plan living area (48 sqm) falls into 3 natural areas, on entering the gite there is a cottage style 3 piece suite seating area which leads into the galley style kitchen and dining area onwards to the the air conditioned television seating area with its vaulted ceiling.
The kitchen/dining area is well equipped and includes a dish washer, micro wave, fridge freezer, cooker, kettle, coffee maker, tea towels and cd/mp3 player.
Outside, a table and chairs sit under a pergola to provide some shade alongside the BBQ

Twenty minutes drive from the city of Angouleme with its lovely old town, cathedral, comic museum, restaurants, etc. In a very pretty area of vineyards, chateaux and river valleys.
