[post_content] => Sunrise Cottage is one of two on site, alongside our house. The whole property is set in an acre of garden. Sunrise has a lounge/diner, kitchen and shower room downstairs. Upstairs are 2 good size bedrooms, one double and one with 3 single beds.
The cottage is comfortably furnished. In the lounge area is a large Charentaise fireplace with woodburner. Seating is a 3 seater and a 2 seater sofa. There is a mini hi fi with CD, tape player and radio and a TV/video player and a selection of books, videos and games.
The dining area has a large farmhouse table which seats 5 and a sideboard with all the crockery, cutlery, glasses and dishes that you will need. There is high chair for a baby/toddler.
In the kitchen is a double sink unit, gas oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine, toaster and all the necessary pans and utensils.
The shower room has a shower cubicle, WC and washbasin. There is a baby bath if needed.
The double bedroom has a chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. There is a cupboard on the landing for clothes hanging/storage space for the occupants of this room. The second bedroom has a chest of drawers and a fitted cupboard for hanging clothes and storage. Both bedrooms have the traditional little floor level windows, exposed beams and roof windows.

Le Cognassier is a charming holiday cottage with large rooms retaining many original features. Stone walls and tiled floors downstairs keep it cool in the summer. Decorated in soft, neutral tones and quirky touches here and there give this gite a very individual look. There is an open plan dining area overlooking the private garden which leads on to the main garden. Perfect for keeping an eye on the little ones whilst relaxing or barbecuing.
Upstairs, the bedrooms overlook the gardens, pool and neighbouring fields of sunflowers and wheat.

We offer a safe and peaceful environment in which to enjoy an affordable self catering family holiday in rural France. With other toddlers and young children for yours to play with and an enclosed garden and safely enclosed swimming pool you will be able to relax with a chilled glass of wine chatting to like minded parents whilst your children
make new friends.
Papillon sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms. It was originally used for keeping animals (probably pigs - hence the name 'butterfly' ! it sounds nicer !) It has now been totally converted into a lovely cottage with terrace front and rear with charcoal barbecue. Downstairs is open plan with living and dining areas and for those who enjoy cooking up local french dishes such as moules in cream sauce - it has a very spacious kitchen area with loads of work space and cupboards for storing all those goodies purchased at the market. The low dark ceilings with ancient exposed central oak beam and the exposed stone walls, create a lovely dark, cool escape from the heat of the summer.
The kitchen is equipped with 4 ring gas hob, work top electric oven /grill, sink, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher and all the basic pots, pans, crockery and cutlery.
On the first floor is a good sized double bedroom with large wardrobe, draw unit and vanity basin; a twin room with wardrobe and a small childrens room with bunk beds and set of draws as well as hooks for hanging. The bathroom has a bath with shower facility, toilet and basin and as with all our cottages - loads of hot water and good pressure for the shower. The straight wooden staircase is open tread and is steeper than what you may be used to at home but has a stair barrier top and bottom. There is a stone step down to the doorway which may be an issue for toddlers. There is a spacious patio area front and rear with a bbq at the back and garden furniture at the front.
We can provide cots, highchairs, toddler step, booster seat, steriliser, monitors, play mats, baby chairs, child toilet seats, bedguards, pottys, baby baths and seats, changemats, hand blenders - just name it we've probably got it !
Stair barriers are standard in every gite top and bottom. There is an outside loo so children don't have to go upstairs at all during the day. We have a good selection of board games and books. We provide lots of local information and are familiar with local restaurants and beaches in the area. We have a 'day out folder' with sights you must not miss and comments from previous guests about great places they have discovered on their holiday

Bedroom 1 has a double bed, with ample space for a cot. Bedroom 2 has twin beds. Bedroom 3 has bunk beds & a cot which can be replaced by a single bed.
The ground floor bathroom has a both a bath and a shower, towels are included but we request that you do not use them by the pool. There is a separate wc upstairs.
The open plan living area is comfortable and spacious. Seating upto 8 with ease and includes television with satellite and DVD along with a hifi and CD.
The kitchen is well equipped and includes a dishwasher, micro-wave, fridge-freezer, cooker, kettle , coffee maker & tea towels.

There are south-facing French doors to give the room a real Mediterranean feel. You will have a Hi-Fi system, DVD player, video player and a TV receiving both the major UK and French TV channels.
The kitchen area is well-equipped with electric double oven, grill, ceramic hob and freezer, together with ample worktops and storage. Beyond this there is a utility room/pantry with further storage, full size fridge, washing machine, microwave and toaster.
There is also a downstairs shower room/WC which is fully tiled and offers a good sized shower.
The middle floor boasts a charming salon or day room with a south-facing window above the original stone guard seat and a double futon. This room has double doors opening onto the private river terrace and provides additional comfy seating as well as a TV receiving the major French channels.
Walk out onto the river terrace which directly overlooks the River Vienne. This private space offers patio furniture for dining al fresco and comfy bench seating.
The master bedroom is on this floor. It is west facing with a double bed, original fireplace, feature stone washbasin and panelled ceiling.
On the top floor you will have two further double bedrooms. The south facing room has a double bed, triple wardrobe, large chest of drawers, bedside tables, exposed roof trusses and features the stone seat used when the house was a guard post.
There is a further west facing double bedroom with bunk beds, ideal for children. This room includes a games console, TV, books and toys and is a lovely bright space. There is also a further wet room with WC, basin and ample storage.
