The house is on three floors it has been restored keeping many original features including exposed stone walls and wood beams. The house is spacious with high ceilings, tiled floors and wooden staircase. The house is furnished throughout in a traditional rustic style. Entry is via the large living room furnished with two three seater leather sofas, a TV with UK free to view channels and DVD player are available for your use also an IPOD docking station. At the far end of the living room is the fitted kitchen equipped with dishwasher, fridge with freezing compartment, gas hob, electric oven, washing machine, microwave and toaster. The dining area has seating for eight, there is a door to the garden and outside dining area. Three steps from the living area lead to the first floor where you will find a double bedroom and family bathroom. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, WC and hand basin. Stairs lead to the second floor where you will find a spacious beamed and high ceiling guest room with double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers, a door leads to the garden and a small terrace. The Master bedroom with its high cathedral ceiling has an en-suite bathroom with bath with shower over, WC and wash hand basin. There is a third room on this floor with a pull out sofa bed for occasional use, this opens onto a sunny private terrace with magnificent views across the valley to the hills beyond.
The extensive mature gardens are terraced, there are many mature trees offering shade if required, all guests are welcome to pick and the figs go particularly well with the Roquefort from the caves at Cirque de Labiel 5 mins away. There is a good range of garden furniture including sun loungers, a swing seat, tables and chairs for dining and a built in barbecue.
The swimming pool has a fully paved surround and measures 10m x 5m with a depth of 1.5m throughout.
Pets are welcome, Due to the stone steps in the garden and the house, the property may not be suitable for people with limited mobility.
There is excellent walking in the surrounding countryside, particularly the Cirque De Labeil with its well marked walking paths. Lerab Ling, the buddhist centre is easily accesible.

During the season, there are many outdoor music events, carnivals, firework displays and other cultural and sporting shows. Other activities include canoeing on the river Herault, cycling on the many cycle paths, walking along the banks of the river, to the beach or beside the picturesque Canal du Midi where you can also rent a canal cruiser. Aquatic sports of many types, including sailing, surfing and jet ski and boat hire are available at the resort of Cap d'Agde just 4kms away.

The Villa was built a few years ago, it is now maturing beautifully into it's surroundings and was loved by all who stayed there last year. The villa is fully furnished with comfortable seating for 4 adults inside or out in the living, dining and patio areas. There is satellite TV showing the main UK channels in addition to about 50 other channels, a DVD player if you wish to bring DVD's and also a Bose sound-dock to play your ipod. The villa also enjoys WiFi internet access. As it is built on a sloping site the villa is entered at first floor level. There is an open plan staircase down to the very spacious living / dining area. The open plan kitchen, fully equipped with fridge, freezer, oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine adjoins this room. The master bedroom with large double bed and ensuite shower room is a mezzanine floor partially above this area and there is a further twin bedroom and house bathroom on the upper floor. There are South facing doors opening onto the comfortably furnished, very private patio and pool area with sun loungers for lazy days, a table and chairs for al fresco dining and a large parasol for when the sun is a little too strong
Durban Corbieres is superbly situated to make the most of the fascinating and varied landscape of Languedoc, from the 300 km of unspoilt beaches stretching from the Cote d'Azur to the Spanish border, over 40 of which have blue flag status, to the medieval castles of the Cathars. Not forgetting of course some of the best wine growing regions in France.
Superb Climate: Daytime temperatures in summer average 30 degrees and 20 degrees at night, making it just about the perfect climate for a holiday. This region boasts over 300 sunny days a year with an annual average of 22 degrees, great for a week away from the hustle and bustle at any time of year.
Activities: The Cathar Way long distance footpath passes through Durban Corbieres and explores all the main Cathar sites or for the less ambitious there are a multitude of walks through the vineyards enjoying the scents of the juniper, wild thyme, rosemary and lavender which grow in the wild garrigae landscapes of the region. An unmissable Languedoc experience is to walk, boat or cycle along the tree lined Canal du Midi which passes just a few miles from Durban Corbieres. The more active can find everything from tennis to kite surfing on the lagoons at Leucate. As little as 70 miles away is the Pyrenean ski centre of Formigueres which has an enviable reputation for reliable snow and beautiful sunny weather.

The house sleeps up to 9 guests and is perfect for families or groups, with three double bedrooms, one single and one twin room.
THE HOUSE
The villa starts on the second level of the property (the owners live in an apartment on the first level of the property). The entrance takes you straight into the large, modern, open plan kitchen and dining area, with a wrap-around balcony. The kitchen includes all mod cons, as well as an American style fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. Through the archway is a cosy living room, with flatscreen TV and a DVD player. A variety of British TV channels are available to watch.
Leading off the living area is the first of Casa Sola's double bedrooms. This room has its own private balcony as well as en-suite shower room. A separate living area with a sofa bed, books and DVD library is also on this floor. The main bathroom, with a shower and a bath is located on this level. You will find a washing machine in the bathroom too.
Up the stairs are a further four bedrooms - two large doubles, a twin and a single - and another bathroom.
OUTSIDE
The lower terrace is an ideal space for relaxing on a sun bed or chilling in the first of our two pools.
Bathed in sunlight, guests can enjoy spectacular mountain views.
Leading off from the kitchen is the next terrace - and the perfect spot to have lunch or an evening meal. A gas barbecue is available for guests to use.
Up the next set of stairs you will find the second swimming pool, an above-ground pool on a secluded
terrace, which offers magnificent panoramic views.
To the rear of the property, the garden area extends into more than 4,000m2 of privately terraced woodland.
WEATHER
Bathed in sun for most of the year, Casa Sola soaks up the Mediterranean sunshine.
Temperatures can reach the mid-30s in July.

The river Orbieu provides excellent swimming in the summer months.
Lagrasse's Abbey founded in the 8th century, is shared between the commune and the Chanoines monks both of whom welcome visitors.
The village is very animated in the summer months with various music festivals, piano concerts,theatre, circus ,pottery & book fairs also a fine firework displat on the 14th July followed by animayions and on the 14th an even bigger display in nearby Carcassonne.
